none of us know who's at fault for those fights not happening, but those guys' legacies aren't the question. we know exactly where most of them stand. roy could've(probably) accomplished a lot more than what he did, whether it's his fault or not. people don't get ranked for their potential. only the names on the resume matter in the end.Comment

The post wasnt a condemnation of anyone just me trying to state the facts. If a fighter leaves the sport with money in the bank and his health in check then I have no problem with what ever they did in their career.none of us know who's at fault for those fights not happening, but those guys' legacies aren't the question. we know exactly where most of them stand. roy could've(probably) accomplished a lot more than what he did, whether it's his fault or not. people don't get ranked for their potential. only the names on the resume matter in the end.Comment

Jones was at 168 for less than two years. His title defenses were hilarious but this wasn't a Mayweather foray into 147. He entered the division by taking on the best fighter in it and kicking his a**.Comment

i'm fine with roy's career too. i'm not the one stepping in the ring with hundreds of thousands/millions watching. but i still think everyone would rank him much higher if he'd beaten guys like benn eubank and michalczewski.Comment

He fought Thomas in Aug. 1993 at SMW. The last fight was Brannon in Oct. 1996. So you'll have to add more than 50% to your statement of less than 2 years lol.
He did have one fight at 160 when he beat Hopkins in May 1993 though.Last edited by BattlingNelson; 02-20-2010, 11:15 AM.Comment
