Man, I'm fed up explaining things now. We're all going in circles. And you don't have anything, not an iota of evidence that Pacquiao is really on PEDs just because Pacquiao refused to do it, due to personal reasons, and I say it comes from the whole CULTURAL background and BELIEFS which Americans and the West may never understand...because everything in American is about the rationality of a thing, that one needs to explain why. But for a man who has personal reasons why he refused to be drug tested-olympic style, anyone should be able to respect such a personal reason.Wow so you think Olympic style drug testing is somehow flawed, please explain why?
I'm not the one going on a crusade, Mayweather wants all of his fights from now on to have Olympic style blood testing, and so far he's stayed true to his word. Again If Mayweather had only requested of Pacquiao this type of testing and not mentioned it to Mosley then it would have been a ***** move, but that's not the case. Do I think it's good for the sport; yes, but if fighters want to continue to fight with testing in place that entirely up to them, but if they refuse a career high payday because they don't like needles, it weakens them, I find that suspect.
The fact is you love Pacquiao, hate Mayweather, and cheating or not you want to see Pac beat Mayweather, and I’m sure he has it in him to beat Mayweather, but for some reason he refuses to prove to the world and all his detractor that he's clean and instead has chosen to use every excuse in the world not to do just that.
IMHO In a sport where people regularly get seriously hurt or even killed, the best testing is warranted.
Here's what I said to Dominican Soy when he asked "what reasons does Pacquiao have."
Simply, that he believes that when a part of him is taken out of him, for example, blood, it can sap his strength and therefore, affect him mentally. This is a cultural thing.
Many Asians and Filipinos are seen as fatalists. Many filipinos (those who are living in the Philippines) believe in fate, in good luck and bad luck, in talisman and in feng shui.
There are people who feel powerful by doing certain rituals before any endeavour and who forsee victory and success in the manifestations of mother nature.
It is bad omen to sweep the floor before you go to the ****pit to fight game chickens which is a national sport in the Philippines. To some people, it is bad omen to cut your fingernails or even hair before a big undertaking.
Many filipino farmers look and consider the rain as a sign of good things to come, of success. Some filipino politicians at the start of their political undertakings believed in this "rain" thing, that's why they believed they never lost in an election. Somehow, they feel more confident whenever rains drop on the launching of any endeavour.
Manny Pacquiao believes in fate having been born in a culture marked by belief in superpowers and superstition. This explains his abhorence to shed blood so close to the fight. It is not that he is taking drugs and wants to hide it to cheat. It is just that he believes that shedding blood saps his power and that it would make him vulnerable.
American culture (especially where steroids/PEDs are always the the top reason why an athlete excel) can never understand this cultural explanation because rationality/evidence is always the way of doing things--and yet if one noticed this...such a revered way of arguing is always contradictory to itself. The buck stops here.Comment
