Sorry friends...a man (W.Klitschko) who has been kayoed in his prime by Puritty and Sanders can't be in top 25...
Sonny Liston and Jim Jeffries must be at least in top 10...

Pretty sure at 22, after only 2 years as a pro, weighing only 225 lbs, no one can consider Wlad prime in that fight.

But why are people bringing up the Klitschkos anyway? They're not even retired yet and are still the top two in the division.

I agree with you on this one. While the fighter is active it is difficult to judge on him.

But i disagree with your (and many others) ranking of Sonny Liston. Yeh, the dude was intimidating, looked stylistically good... But his resume is... average... His best wins are 2 KOs of Patterson, who, along with Johansson, ruled the division in the years, definitely, not better than today... What are his other big wins? Eddie Machen? Zora Folley? That`s it? He fought journeymen... I just don`t see him being rated at top 10...

2 Rolling Stone, don`t take it as a personal attack - I just wanted to say my view of Liston for a long time...

Wlad hasn't lost a round, never mind a fight in god knows how long.
I don`t think Wlad needs that...

Beating bums for the record? HE won`t get much of it... Well except for the paychecks

I think he should face some of the upcoming contenders, like Povetkin, Haye, Boytsov, Chambers and Arreola... Than the picture would be complete...

Disagree... Wlad was young then , but he is STILL in or near his physical prime... As for his style I think, stylistically, he have just recently entered his prime... He was far from being a complete fighter before Steward. After they united he began progressing...

Everyone was having a civil discussion in this thread, why did you idiots have to come in and ruin it? You can't have an intelligent discussion and instead need to resort to insults (I'm refering to steelhead, tourlou and richiemerc).

Klitschko2009 you were out of line too, you can't say **** other country and not expect a negative reaction.

The high consideration that many people (including me) have about Sonny Liston is due to the conviction his two matches against Clay were fixed... Opposite he would have reigned for some other years...

It's pretty obvious Klitschko2009 started it. This is what he deserved.
