Why does the penalty matter? It's not even an issue because Floyd has never come in over the WW limit, therefore he was happy to agree to the "demand". Team MP could have asked for 10 billion per pound and it wouldn't make any difference. I would guess they asked for the penalty to ensure Floyd didn't come in at 149 or some ****, but it wouldn't have happened anyway.

if clottey had the same per pound penalty that PAC gave mayweather it would have been reported. just like it was reported that pac will NOT make clottey come in at a "catchweight" these are major points of the contract. so in till u prove other wise, PAC has the same rules (as far as weight goes) as he has had in ALL of his bouts. he only CHANGED it when it came to mayweather.*

idiot, explain why mayweather paid 600,000 for 2lbs. It is fact the PER LB penalty was 300,000 for each lb. there's no dis*****g this.

Obviously the person who benefited the most was floyd, who outweighed the lightweight by plenty, as floyd came in much bigger than an already bloated JMM.

Now if JMM was smart he wouldve invoked a higher penalty, and floyd wouldnt have ****ed around coming in overweight. Since he only had to pay 600,000 on a projected 15 million purse. It was chump change and he took advantage of it. Would he try to **** around with an advantage and come in overweight if he was penalized 10 million for a 50 million fight?
