it doesnt make a difference if he barely makes weight or how hard he struggles to do so as long as he makes the weight thats the bottom line and until the boxing commisions put restrictions on how much you weigh in the day of the fight or height restrictions on divisions nobody should complain that a guy is too big for a certain division the rules are in place and they arent breaking them. if your argument is that clottey is being drained for this fight that is also bull**** he has been struggling to make weight for years now but he makes the conscious decision that the struggle is worth it because he is the bigger man on fight night its not like he has been fighting at 154 and is being forced to come down this is his weight class. i am not a pac fan and i dont think mayweather was to blame for their fight falling apart so the ******* argument dont fly with me either
why didn't PAC implement the same weight penalty on clottey?

Complete double standard.
Pac wanted to leverage Floyd in negotiations, and when Floyd accepted without question, and then mentioned drug tests, Pac balked. And then walked away from the biggest fight of his career because he would not take a drug test.Comment

Mayweather doesn't have a problem with:
Money
Weight
Fighting Pacquiao
All those things implemented by Pacquiao and his team were obviously to keep the fight from happening because everyone KNOWS Pacquiao cannot fight a prime boxer/counter-puncher with SPEED. It is Pacquiao's ******nite, and because of this, Arum and the rest of the goons over there are trying to ride this Pacquiao *legacy till he retires.
If Pacquiao loses, he starts to lose leverage in every fight there after. It may not be enough to be on the short end of the stick as far as purse size, etc, but it would be lower than if he were to have beaten Mayweather. Arum is a business man first. Think about it. Pacquiao already lost.Comment

Hmm, maybe because Mayweather is a much more dangerous fight for Pac than Clottey is. Clottey is a damn good fighter and all, but the only guy who could beat Pacquiao right now is Mayweather and vice versa.Comment

Why does the penalty matter? It's not even an issue because Floyd has never come in over the WW limit, therefore he was happy to agree to the "demand". Team MP could have asked for 10 billion per pound and it wouldn't make any difference. I would guess they asked for the penalty to ensure Floyd didn't come in at 149 or some ****, but it wouldn't have happened anyway.
Pointless thread.
Of course, we could ask the question: Why didn't Floyd ask any other opponent for random blood tests? But really, who gives a ****. This **** is tired. You people need to find something new to talk about. Move on with your lives.

Thank you for asking this question? You know why 147 is more reasonable to ask for floyd because he came in at 146 for the JMM fight.
Oh I forgot because the cheater cheated 2lbs on his last fightComment

you're a ****ING DUMMY. 10 mil per pound penalty as in the EQUIVALENT of what pac ASKED of mayweather. it's NOT THERE, and it probably won't be there for his future bouts.Comment
