I know that. He is also a tad over the hill, and has seen better days in the ring. Better punchers? Nope. Lacy will overwhelm him with his physical strength...and there is no where for him to run.

calzaghe has never truly been knocked down, his two knockdowns were both when he was caught off balance, calzaghe has a very good chin

OK closer to the date PM on how this points thing works and we'll have a bet.

              hmm

Joe Calzaghe fought Mckintyre in Copenhagen as cheif support on the Tyson bill.
And Copenhagen is not in the U.S. Fighting in the U.S. is a first step in showing you want to challenge a guy like Bernard. Frank

That's just a good old fashioned American insuler opinion... Kostya Tszyu and many others do just fine travelling the World and putting on shows for the World to see.
Wrong again. Nothing insuler or close-minded about it. Tszyu has fought big fights in the U.S. Joe has fought none. Joe would be seen as a challenger to Bernard, as Bernard is and was considered the best p4p, so that means if anyone should travel it is/was Joe. Very simple concept. And Joe has done nothing to indicate he is willing to fight outside Europe or too far away from UK.

Frank Warren offered Hopkins £6,000,000 (That's pounds sterling not US doller) to fight Joe Calzaghe in Las Vegas. Hopkins declined and fought Carl Daniels/Morrad Hakker/William Sloppy/Robert Allen (for the 6th time ) instead. Make of that what you will
And? Frank Warren is not to be taken too seriously. Hell, Hatton (a Warren fighter) is the challenger to Tszyu and yet the fight is in England. Doubt the fight would happen if not in England. Like I said, there is no hard evidence that suggests Joe or Warren are willing to go to the U.S. Kind of ****** to criticize Hopkins for fighting Allen again when Joe just fought a guy he had already KO'd in 1 round.

Veit 15 fights later has got himself back into the mandatory position, Joe had no choice other than be stripped... It's only fair!
Same concept applies to Hopkins-Allen situation.

I tell you what fella it's pointless discussing this with you.

You're slagging off Joe Calzaghe for fighting Mario Veit (for the 2nd time), and when I explain that "15 fight's later Mario Viet has got himself into a mandatory position - But it's ok for Bernard Hopkins to fight Allen 3 times?"

Your reply is: "Same concept applies to Hopkins-Allen situation".

                I just give up...

I can't be bothered to waste time on your comments further up, all I say to them is: America is not the BE-ALL-AND-END-ALL Of the boxing World!!!... Learn about things outside America!!! There's a whole F**king World out there!!! And maybe your precious Bernard wants to prove he's a great fighter by actually having the courage to fight outside America! All the greatest American fighters in the past have done!

Don't bother replying to this post... Coz' I won't reply to any bollox comments you try to retort.

Yeah I agree with that for the most part. Just common knowledge tells you that most of that division is scared of him. Also...where in the hell is everyone getting this "Lacy wont last 5 rounds against Joe Calzaghe" from. That is very annoying in my opinion. That is the other way around, and will always be untill Jeff destroys them with relative ease.

Rubin Williams would beat Calzaghe....and he was Lacy's last victim who was getting cute.

yeah....that does say alot. Everyone including Calzone ducks him...because they know they would get knocked out.
