Lacy's style proves he has a very good chin. He is succeptable to shots...and has shown he can take them. Calzaghe may be a really big puncher.....but so is Reid. I suppose we will cross that bridge when we get to it: but watch him completely demolish Reid for the first time in his career. You will more than likely then be convinced he is a machine.

I don't think Lacy will demolish Robin Reid... But I do think that Reid has been showing little signs of his skills winding down as he's gone past his peak.

This is a good time for Lacy to take a fight with Reid, Coz' Reid is a recoginized GOOD TOUGH fighter, and a win over him will show us all that Lacy is gonna be a force in the super-middleweight division!

But Calzaghe is a higher level fighter... And a fight between Calzaghe and Lacy I think would be 70-30 in Calzaghe's favour.

Calzaghe is at the end of the rope, and Lacy is the most powerful up and comer in boxing IMO. You are actually saying Calzaghe would beat him...and outbox him despite his relentless pressure? Would he take the fight directly to him? Because I dont see either happening.
Thompson and Crawford are respectable fighters...and Lacy bulled through them. Rubin Williams is an extremely underrated fighter who is very skillfull. He could not deal with Lacy's Power and tenacity.

I guess I see what you are saying....because I really have no arguement. Lacy is still in the early phase of his career and Calzaghe has already been established. Either way, I dont see him beating Jeff.

You're entitled to your opinion and I'm not trying to be dismissive of Lacy as a fighter...he does have lots of good qualities. But as you say, he's not really shown that much yet to prove he can cut it at the highest level. His performance against Reid will go a long way towards settling my opiniion of him.

Now C'mon man, that's a little unfair...

Ricky is a big underdog agaisnt Tszyu. (Kostya Tszyu is the Champion).

But then again Lacy is a big underdog against Calzaghe. (Calzaghe is the Champion)... And don't bother with WBO/IBF alphebet crap.

Calzaghe has ruled Super-middleweight for years and beaten everyone around, (accept for those ***** Germans Ottke/Beyer who refused to fight Calzaghe even though he was willing to fight in Germany).

You can't really compare Ricky Hatton/Tszyu with Calzaghe/Lacy Coz' Ricky is the challenger, where as Calzaghe is the recognized champion.
