I know he is tough. That is given, and he has never been knocked down before. He is a very good counterpuncher with a very good right hand. Is slick to a certain extent, and has been in with big punchers like himself. He is in trouble though. Despite what alot of people think. Lacy is the underdog, and rightfully so. He has yet to face a name like Reid yet....but that is what makes this so interesting.

Plenty of fighters duck Robin Reid. Lacy actively called him out: Because he likes to fight. I am not sure if Reid has the same tenacity and attitude Lacy has that can ensure him a victory. Lacy is a newbreed of slugger: and is going to put the hurt on Reid's body.

Lets be honest. Has Reid ever faced as tenacious a body puncher before? I dont think so. How will he respond to all the punishment he will be enduring?

Exactly Knives. I don't think Reid or Calphony are ready for the kinda heat theat Lacy brings to a fight. Lacy has underrated fast hands & power in both hands. Reid can try to counter punch but he's gonna have to deal with Lacy ripping him to the body & head. Lacy has been active & getting in good rounds against solid competition.

Yeah I know. His handspeed is very underrated. If Reid wants to secure a victory, he is going to have to enter the fight with a solid gameplan. Lets say he does execute.....well then ok. If you notice....Sheika really fought well in their fight, and absorbed some serious punishment. He simply came to fight that night. The new Lacy as of late....has been pretty damn relentless en route to unifying the titles.

I cant stress this enough..in that: The Rubin Williams that fought lacy on showtime was in fighting shape. Im talking about A+ performance by an A class fighter in Hollywood. He hit Jeff with the kitchen sink....and could not stop him. Some of those right hands would have worn down even the likes of Calzone, Reid, as well as Vanderpool. He simply could not weather the storm.

        Al Berndstein said it best:

"Ill tell you this. You had better get Lacy out of there. His power is an equalizer in fights."

you need to knock him out in order to secure victory. I dont think anyone in the super-middleweight division can do that.

Totally agree!!! Williams is a solid fighter & on that night he could've beaten alot of the so called top fighters in the middle- lt. heavy division. He just was worn out by the punches he was absorbing but the man could fight.

            Mendoza

This guy hits like a tank. Knocked Hollywood out in 1 round. He is a force as well......and most people dont know about him. I think he could beat Calzaghe.

Never heard of him. Hopefully I can catch one of his fights to see him in action.

I'd back Calzhage to take out lacy, neither of them have impressed me lately, but hey I'm aussie, so all i want is Mundine and Green as the champs, but Green was and Idiot, and i think Mundine Needs a Miracle or to do a Sugar ray to Beat Kessler

I saw him fight Troy Rowland on Telemundo spanish channel. That Rowland guy is the biggest sissy of all time. He runs worse than DLH did in the final rounds of the Trini fight....im talking straight runner. Mendoza was getting pissed off...and I think he won the fight. The judges gave it to Troy because of his nationality I belive. Otherwise this guy was pretty much unstoppable in my view. I will say. If Lacy unifies the titles...this guy is nasty, and could quite possibly give him trouble if he took him lightly as a challenger. Mendoza has a really hard left hook to the body that stops people dead in their tracks.

I agree, Calzaghe hasnt done much to impress me recently but i think his hands speed and power will win it. Calzaghe isnt the most skillful fighter but he's physically gifted, i cant think of many fighters who can fight at the same tempo as him(especially for his weight). He's got a lot of heart, maybe too much because he likes a war and doesnt seem to care how hard the opponent punches.

I like and dislike Lacy, he's an annoying ******* who trys to act mean but i think he has the balls to back it up, thats whats good about him. Finally someone with a US repuatation thats willing to fight Calzaghe.

Hopefuly your boy Green will get some focus and come back onto the scene, he's a good fighter with the balls to back it up. I'd like to see Green vs Lacy.

Trust me elveiel. he is mean. He is the meanest fighter to enter a ring since Mike Tyson. In My opinion. He fights like he is trying to hurt you and not let you leave the ring in 1 piece. He tries to kill other fighters.

Why I like Jose Luis Castillo so much also. Mean bastards with little regards for human safety.
