Golden Boy is absolutely gutless for trying to make this fight. JMM is one of their best fighters and they are trying to use him as a stepping stone for some young brit punk who hasn't fought anybody and who is giving up his belt to avoid someone his own size. Marquez should drop down to lightweight and finish his legacy there. He could fight katsidis, diaz, and the best would be against valero.

this is a 50-50 fight so I don't know why Marquez is crying. Amir has accepted the dangerous fight with a dangerous legend, so why doesn't Marquez accept the dangerous fight?

Then he should have no problem handling Khan, right?

            Khan vs Marquez

Who has Khan fought?? Who has he beaten do deserve a fight with Marquez? Why not let Khan and Maidana fight each other and the winner gets a shot at Marquez? Golden Boy sux! I thought they were going to make boxing better, but they are no better than Don King was in the 80s & 90s. I'm going to quit contributing $$ to their PPVs and start watching the free replays.

Jesus Christ. JMM is one of my favorite fighters, but by the same tokken I think he's one of the most nuthugged on here fighters too. My head is spinning by reading some of these comments on here about how he is a victim. I just don't see it. I share the same exact opinion with Burner on this believe it or not. If JMM turns down this fight and goes and fights a no-namer for peanuts then that is a punk move to me. And it looks like he might do it from the way Nacho is talking.

I made a thread last night actually discrediting JMM a little bit for maybe taking this fight instead of fighting someone like Bradley or Valero. I'm not saying that it's a bad fight and JMM is being opportunistic by taking it. But if he wants to be mentioned up there with Barrera and Morales he needs to go for the gusto because their resumes out shine his and that's the truth. But I don't know why I wasted my time making that thread if he isn't even gonna fight Khan who I view as the weakest link at 140 even though Ring might have him in a spot he doesn't deserve to be in.

Morales and Barrera at least tried for the fourth title. And if JMM doesn't go for the same feat, then he should be ranked underneath both of them. And I hate Barrera and have JMM ranked over him as it stands. Morales is #1 in my view because he fought for the fans. It seems like JMM and Barrera fight for themselves.

                  "Who has Con fought?"

Let's see here. I know he fought the the bagel maker last time. And he fought Barrera-saurus, a boxer from the Stone Age. Not sure who else, really. I do know he got knocked into (Mike Tyson)"Bolivian" by Prescott.

It's strange to hear people being concerned for JMM facing a young in experienced Khan.

You'd think it'd be said more the other way round.

                    Amir's not ready to Juan.
