some people don't know they're taking steroids, not everyone asks question when they go to the doctor...there's been more than a few cases of people with severe diseases taking a ****load of medication and not knowing what half of it was. my buddy's uncle was precribed so many ****ing pills by his doctor, and if he even knew what half of them were i'd be surprised

Its very clear Toney wouldn't willingly take steroids before a match. He knew he'd have to take a piss test afterwards, so why do it if he knew he'd get caught? I mean damn, he clearly didn't know he took the steroids. If he had willingly taken the steroids, he'd have paid someone to piss for him, which is pretty ****ing easy to do. They don't watch you actually take a piss for boxing like they do in prison.

I can't believe I'm doing this, but I have to agree with Pretender on this. Anybody who takes any kind of medication should know exactly what they're putting into their body. If Toney is taking medication or whatever and didn't even have the sense to ask what it was, he is the biggest dumbass in boxing and deserves his punishment.

How low can you go as a fight fan? You people are a disgrace to the sport. A sport which is about sanctioned bouts, rules and regulations, and nothing but the two men in the ring to do battle for a belt.

Cheating is disgraceful and dishonorable in ANY sport, and performance enhancing drug use in a sport like boxing where power and speed are huge factors in the end result is beyond the pale.

What's worse? Are you in the ring? Did you give blood sweat and tears to become a champion? You didn't do ****. Ruiz worked from the very bottom to get where he is with very little natural born talent. He prevailed against all odds by hard work and heart which means something to people who give a **** about sportsmanship. When Ruiz loses he deserves to have his belt taken in fair play, not by illegal drug enhanced performance.

Ruiz is the real winner here regardless of what happens. Toney is a disgrace and so are you people who think what he did is ok.

As far as Ruiz fighting fairly, let me point out that he could have been disqualified for excessive holding in seven out of eight title fights. That much fouling doesn't sound exactly fair to me.

Now for this steroids business. I'll say up front, I'm no expert on steroids, but I do know that the chemical found in his body is produced naturally in miniscule amounts, and I also know that it's easily detected. Don't you think it's curious that Toney, after sixteen years and seventy four fights, would choose to use a drug that he couldn't get away with using right before the biggest fight of his career? And still come into the ring looking fat? Don't you find that the least bit strange? I do. I think the state comission is wrong, I think Toney will sue over this, and I think he will win hit title and the W back in court.
