i don't think there's any legitimate argument to defend anybody who uses performace enhancing drugs in any sport, it one thing being a boring fighter, but anyone who cheats like this is much lower, this is also bad in paticular because it's boxing, and boxing at the moment dosn't need anymore bad storys, in other sports people are striped of titles and banned, so i don't see how this case should be any different if it's proved he's guilty
DISGUSTING! You posers supporting a CHEATING Toney make me sick.

If Toney is such a great fighter, and up to this point he had a good record, then why did such a "great" fighter have to resort to cheating in a fight against another fighter who he called an average no talent bum? Great fighters don't cheat. Holyfield, now there's a great fighter. He has honor, heart, and courage, three things that Toney lacks.Originally posted by The TruthIts one thing to support a fighter but it another to be rediculous. You must not be much of a fight fan because any real boxing fan would know that James Toney is old school great fighter. Ruiz is nothing more than an average, heavyweight. Toney would beat Ruiz on drugs, off drugs, one arm tied behind his back and blind folded. Not only that but it hasn't even been confirmed that this is all true yet. By the way Pretender I am not trying to start a fight even though thats what this sounds like. Its just seems like you irrational sometimes.
And if Toney could beat Ruiz off drugs like you said, he should have had the balls to do so and fight fair. But apparently he wasn't as confident in his ability as you are. His legacy is forever marred. Good riddence.Comment

Pretender I am not trying to say that it is alright he cheated because its not. I am just saying that Toney technically better as a fighter and all time. But I agree if Toney did do this than it definitley is a wrong doing on his part and he should pay for it.Comment

Cheating is disgraceful and dishonorable in ANY sport, and performance enhancing drug use in a sport like boxing where power and speed are huge factors in the end result is beyond the pale.
What's worse? That you so-called ****heads who call yourself fight fans would see a fighter like Toney turn out to be a cheating drug using liar who couldn't fight his opponent with just his skill, and yet you still wish this insecure loudmouth fake should retain his belt over a man who fought fairly! All because you hate the latter for having a style you dislike. You people are pathetic!
Are you in the ring? Did you give blood sweat and tears to become a champion? You didn't do ****. Ruiz worked from the very bottom to get where he is with very little natural born talent. He prevailed against all odds by hard work and heart which means something to people who give a **** about sportsmanship. When Ruiz loses he deserves to have his belt taken in fair play, not by illegal drug enhanced performance.
Ruiz is the real winner here regardless of what happens. Toney is a disgrace and so are you people who think what he did is ok.

Bwahaha! That has to be the weakest most desperate defense I've heard yet! Email it to Phoney, maybe he can still use it!Originally posted by GonzaloEven though James Toney has tested positive for eligal substnces. It still doesn't mean he new about it, he could have been taking them without knowing. .Comment

If there's ever a rematch with Toney, a FAIR rematch, in the future...and if Toney beats Ruiz, I will be the first person to give him credit where it is due.Originally posted by The TruthPretender I am not trying to say that it is alright he cheated because its not. RJJ beat Ruiz fair and square as far as I know. I just think he was a punk for vacating rather than accepting a mandatory rematch.Comment

Of course. Don't tell me you don't. You shouldn't take anything without knowing what it is and what it's supposed to do. That's common sense.Originally posted by beeatch!do you know what every substance your doctor gives u is?Comment
