How true do you guys think this is? Is it a valid point? Or do you think he's just talking out his ass?

I think it's a valid point, but yet he is talking out his ass coz he's talking about Manny Pacquiao who has been good through out his whole career and even got smarter/better as time went by with Freddy Roach. It can be a valid point maybe to some other boxers, but not Manny.
    Floyd is correct.

In boxing you don't start off ORDINARY and then become great after 25. Every boxing historian, you can go down the line of all the greats. NONE of them were ordinary guys when they started. NONE of them. They all were great or had raw talent that needed to be refined.

Pacquiao wasn't good through out his whole career. He was ordinary and then became rediculous. Either Pacquiao was a diamond in the rough or Pacquiao does steroids.

We will never find out now because Pacquiao doesn't want to fight if he has to take random blood tests.

Don't be naive. There are a ton of guys who can use both hands. Going off the top of my head; ODLH. Left handed guy fighting orthodox.

alright all right. to be honest no fighters do get better but that's with training and it's not with significant leaps in speed and power but threw technique and strategy. Ali didn't get better, lennox just figured out how to use his abilities better, you can't get better physically as you move up and on in your career... your human what happens as you get older? you start to lose things like cardio etc but you get wise to the game. truth.

I don't agree with that statement at all. He is basically saying Pac wasn't **** before he hit 25. He was a great fighter with a very limited skill set. He was primarily a brawler with a left hand. Roach worked with him and helped him develop his right hand and his defense. Combine that with a great gameplan for each of his fights and there you have Pac. They say what he is doing is extraordnary, but I don't see too many fighters willing to go up in weight. It seems Pac's mentality is to keep progressing until he reaches his limit. Nothing wrong with that.

Most boxers are protected too long until there habits are cemented and they wont improve.. .and thats why it might appear that way

I know what he meant by it and if stated differently would hold more weight

if youre talking about steroids (which most likely you are), steroids does not make a fighter better.
when he says extraordinary...he means a fighter that once showed FATIGUE and was hurt by guys like JMM who looked like a midget vs Floyd...a fighter that now just doesnt stop punching with power for 12 rounds while staying on his toes and takes Cotto punches like they were nothing. Hes not talking about tecnique, but about strenght, endurance, and recover ability....and all that stuff can be bettered while on PEDs

You're wrong. He was faster vs. Diaz than in the JMM fight, even faster vs. DLH and equal terms for Hatton.
