I really hope this isn't true. Maidana has earnt his shot and he shouldn't accept such a deal. I really don't understand why GBP are this concerned about Maidana anyway. All I see is a one-dimensional slugger who was fortunate that his highest profile opponent was naive enough to slug with him. I think Khan would box his way to clear decision.

I don't think the Khan-Marquez fight is totally worthless like some of you, as I don't feel Marquez is quite shot yet, but at 140 it may be uncompetitive.

Khan could and should stand up to them. If he absolutely insisted on fighting Maidana, do you really think they would prevent him?

And JaguarJames is right about one thing - If Khan had fought and beaten Maidana he'd have got the respect of real boxing fans to an extent that he won't get now for several years, if ever. He's lost a huge amount of credibility with a huge number of fans because of this. I wonder if he's aware of that?
