Fighting JMM is an extremely strategic move that is profitable only in the short term. I think Khan will actually beat Marquez and after that, they'll probably pit him against someone like Malignaggi or maybe even Juan Diaz (i.e. girls who can't punch), thus catapulting him to the elite division without any true merits to him. Golden Boy will do everything they can to make as much money before putting him the ring with talented but less profitable fighters who pose a risk (i.e. Ortiz, Bradley, Maidana, etc).

I don't give a s*** how young this guy is. If you're holding the title, you need to man up to anyone they put in front of you. Khan is being built up as a prizefighter without earning his stripes and this is what's wrong with boxing today.

    Couldn't agree more, spot on.

There seems to be a trend in Boxing these days where fighters win a belt and the fans say **** like nah give him time he needs to develop.

Shaw can go *** himself. He talks about Khan scared of Bradley. Well **** heads, Khan has laready gone on record to say he aint ready for Bradley yet and wants the fight later on this year.

Unfortunately, Khan isn't the most articulate of people. He ought to tell Shaw to shut the **** up.

get a grip lads, writing off jmm as third rate challenger, his last fight was agaisnt floyd at a higher weight for fuuucks sake. jmm > holt/witter anyday of the week.

If jmm was fighting bradley you lot woud be lording that fight up saying great matchup. Just cause amirs a few inches taller with a longer reach everyone saying he's too big. paulie can go to ****, hes lost 2 of his last 3 and was outboed for 11 rounds by hatton, and hatton whist a good fighter certainly not the slickest cat in the box.

last year everyone said jmm would kill amir at 135, now at 140 all of a sudden amir taking the safest option, wow talk about hypocriasy just cause amirs had a few wins since that defeat and jmm had 1 defeat to top 2 boxer in world today and of the last decade, and still lasted longer than hatton who i believe was the king of 140s.

Chavez JR. is hands down the biggest ***** in boxing.

The fact that Khan gets to fight on HBO and is getting a big push, the same as Victor Ortiz, yet solid black fighters at 140 are ignored and ridiculed at 140 pisses me off. Kendall Holt, Devon Alexander, Tim Bradley, Lamont Peterson, Ricardo Torres, hell even Juan Urango, these people have fought top comp at 140 and are ignored and put down, while jokes like Khan who is fighting a blown up 135 fighter gets a pass? Ortiz ****ing quits in teh ring and he is promoted like hell, gets movies/documentaries made after him and ****, regardless of his actual achievement.

Damn I hope Tim Bradley and Alexander stop playing nice. The only way they are going to get money is if they start cooning it up and acting like negative stereotypes, because HBO and the big money will not find them if they don't.

He shouldn't have to wait while frauds and pretenders like Ortiz and Khan are out there getting big money. Its a bad joke.

Its funny how people think Khan has the final say on who he fights

He said he's not ready for Bradley. He's only 23. A fight against JMM would would be perfect at this stage of his career. Are people forgetting who JMM fought in his last fight?
