I really wish they would bring this how back to what it was.....it gets so lost on Versus.....and they need to bring back some legit fighters.....it's a good show but there is no push for it what so ever....maybe if they do HW it will make a comeback!

What the hell happened to Sly being on the show any way?

Apparently, the ratings were good for the first series, but not so good when weighed up against the financial cost, meaning that the quality went down and as a result, the ratings year on year. Maybe Simon Cowell should get hold of it!

Good career move for 95% of the boxers who appear on the show, They probably wouldnt have made it even close to where anyone would recognise them on the street if they didnt appear on the show.

Yea, he has took advantage of the show and made a lot of money against Gatti and then cotto, I like the show to be honest because it help give unknown boxers exposure that money cant buy.

**** should be 43-0 almost ALL of these guys would be making no money boxing without the Contender. Maybe Steve Forbes adn Ishe smith but they wouldn't be getting some of the big bouts they managed to get but absolutely true that the Contender was the best thing that happened to any of them. What the **** happend to Grady? I thought he was going to make a comeback.

They need to completely redo the format and get rid of the cheesy music when a boxer tells his story or gets a 'dear john' from home, for a start.

If they make it more real and more controversial then it would appeal to a wider audience imo. They could make some more money from letting viewers phone in and vote for the match ups they want to see, that is the way a large portion of all the tv we watch makes its money these days.
