Did being in "The Contender" help or hurt???

Don't forget Stevie Forbes rejuvenated his career with the contender and landed fights against Oscar de la hoya and andre berto. No way in hell that could have happened any other way.

I think it helps, it gives these guys a shot, some have moved on to bigger better fights because of it, and some are back where they were found....

haha, if I'm not mistaken he had a couple of nice opportunities or so but again, if I'm not mistaken he done fuucked up and spent some time in jail or something like that. I may be way off my memory is a bit fuzzy but I'm pretty sure this dude pretty much screwed his career over.

He pled guilty to trespassing and was sentenced to 180 days in Harris County Jail in downtown Houston and Brandy withdrew her sponsorship of him with the INS, causing Kaddour to be deported to Denmark upon his release from jail in December of 2007. Kaddour also reportedly had problems breathing through his nose and was considering surgery.

After an almost 3 year hiatus, Kaddour appeared on the undercard of Danish WBA Super middleweight Champion Mikkel Kessler's 2nd title defense at the Messecenter in Herning, Denmark, September 12, 2009.
