He got it back against Margs but he honestly hasn't looked very good since he fought Collazo. For years before that he was kinda half ass especially against Estrada and some others.

Shane is so up and down, it's like you don't know which Shane you will get anymore.
Mayorga is one crazy opponent to fight, he's very bad to fight against.

too old and too late for Mosley.

Mosley today the senior citizen version is not the same as the Mosley of the yesteryear's.
Than why did Freddie Roach want to drain him to 142 pounds for Pacquiao? An old man shouldn't have to do that should he? Stop trolling.

i agree with this right here mosley has obviously had a better career then clottey and is coming off the impressive win over margarito but the more we look into that fight and the circumstances of the gloves im not so sure that win is as good as advertised. clottey is a very solid fighter who in my opinion fought a better and closer fight then mosley did with cotto. people who act like this is a ridiculous question should analyze mosley pre margs and his off and on performances and also realize he has been out of the ring for over a year and at his age that might be a factor and also watch some clottey fights and you will see a strong guy who may not have one punch ko power but he does have thudding power and a good defense and when he does throw it is usually combos. this is not as ridiculous a question as its being made out to be the question is who is the tougher fight now not who has the better resume and career.

Yet DLH and Tito obliterated him. And Cory Spinks made him look like a fool.

Clottey, if your description of tough as in durable then yes. Tough as in has gone though hell and back an all that then it's Mosley.

Clottey never wins the big one, but keeps things close.

It was an explanation defending the Clottey choice, but like I say Shane isn't always reliable in these fights but he is more talented.
I respect your opinion because I think you truly believe it and your a credible boxing fan. I was mostly responding to Carnivore who is not credible and wouldn't be objective to save the Klitscho's lives. With that said, there is no case for Clottey being the tougher opponent.

Obviously Mosley...I mean look at Clottey. He couldn't even knock a blown up, old Diego Corrales out and Mayweather dropped him 5 times at a lower weight class. Not to mention Corrales gave Clottey trouble, while Floyd dominated every round and stopped him. Mayweather would run circles around Clottey the same way he did to Baldomir, countering every punch he throws. Heck, Clottey actually reminds me of a younger, more skilled version of Baldomir with defensive. The only good fights that Clottey has won (or came close to winning) ALL involved headbutts. I'm willing to bet my Pacquiao-Clottey tickets that Freddie Roach is going to request a disqualification if Clottey uses his head against Pacquiao (which I REALLY see happening).

Mosley on the other hand has a similar chin (or better), handspeed, more strength, more skill, and neither really have much legs but I'd even give that advantage to Mosley because he isn't flat footed. Mosley was also on his way to stopping Cotto in round 10 before they were pulled apart due to water on the floor. From there Cotto ran his way into a decision because he knew he would have gotten stopped. While I believe Mayweather would put on a boxing clinic against Clottey, he definitely wouldn't do the same against Mosley. I think it would be as close as the De La Hoya fight.

                      Mosley for sure.

I haven't seen any of these signs of decline in Mosley that people seem to be talking about. He doesn't use his legs like he did at lightweight, but his chin is as sturdy as ever, and he sits down on his punches more now.

The Margarito fight was arguably the best performance of his career.

People saying he almost lost to Mayorga- I disagree, I thought he was winning that fight when he knocked him out, but so what? Mayorga has a crazy, obnoxious style. He beat Vernon Forrest twice for God's sake.

Cotto fought a nearly perfect fight against Mosley. That was Cotto's peak.

Clottey is a guy I have been critical of, not because I have anything against him, just because I think he gets a little bit too much credit for not having accomplished a lot. He's come close in some fights to shining, but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Tough fighter with a good chin and a decent punch. Mosley is a lot more than that.
