To be honest I think it's not even close, but some of the threads I've read today have left me questioning public sentiment.

Clottey is the tougher fight right now, in 2007 it would have been Mosley.
What an idiot you are. "Clottey is a tougher fighter than Mosley". Yeah, the same Clottey that stopped throwing punches late against Cotto while Mosley kept trying to knock Cotto out late. The same Clottey that doesnt have the speed or power of Mosley. The same Clottey who has folded late in his biggest fights. This is just your thinly veiled attempt at trying to discredit the Mayweather-Mosley fight. Not much different from when you said Pacquiao would have knocked out Sugar Ray Leonard. You are a disgrace to boxing. BTW, that was a sorry bunch of Euro heavyweights you claimed the US writer "overlooked".

Mosley has been so up and down the last 5 years. I mean Mayorga almost beat him, then he lost to Cotto.

He got it back against Margs but he honestly hasn't looked very good since he fought Collazo. For years before that he was kinda half ass especially against Estrada and some others.

Shane is so up and down, it's like you don't know which Shane you will get anymore.

              Mosley is the tougher opponent.

Clottey is certainly no pushover though.

So explain how he "almost lost" to Mayorga? The Cotto fight was a close fight and I think most people know that Cotto was not the same fighter in the Clottey fight or the Pacquaio fight. Even Freddie Roach pointed that out.?

He won. What more were you expecting? And he's done a hell of a lot more than Clottey who folded aginst Margarito. Wasn't that the question?

Mosley is a better fighter right now at 38 then Clottey ever will be or has been.

                    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^this

too old and too late for Mosley.

Mosley today the senior citizen version is not the same as the Mosley of the yesteryear's.

I was pointing out that Shane is up and down. At his best, he's of course better than Clottey but only 2x out of his last 6 fights or so, he's been any good.
Clottey never wins the big one, but keeps things close.

It was an explanation defending the Clottey choice, but like I say Shane isn't always reliable in these fights but he is more talented.
