So its perfectly fine for mayweather to fight marquez at WW but not for kahn to fight him at LWW???

There were plenty of people that pointed out their misgivings about the Mayweather Marquez fight and the disparity in size and questioned if Marquez could keep his speed and power going up in weight. Mayweather is 5'8" Khan is two inches taller. My main misgiving about the proposed fight is that it is avoiding the mandatory Maidana other than that it represents Khan's toughest fight to date. I would also like to see how Khan fares against a natural light welterweight and someone his own size as his record has for the most part been constructed fighting smaller men.

JMM is the lightweight world champion, he will be moving up 5 pounds.
smaller fighters have always moved up in weight as they get older. JMM would have moved up to LWW regardless of who the opponent.

First point to remember this fight would be a 50/50. The fight has not been confirmed and even if this fight gets made it does not mean he will not fight Maidanna. Maidanna would be after JMM

After the Diaz fight would you have been moaning if the fight was then made at 140lbs? people are forgetting Marquez is p4p no.3 in the world and with experience and power the fight could go either way. Will be a great fight!

Why so much hate for this kid? He is doing extaordinary well and is showing alot of heart by willing to fight away from home in the U.S. At the age of just 23 he is already fighting one of the P4P best boxers in JMM. It will be a tough fight for both but I'm slightly favoring Amir Khan to win this fight.
