Honestly in my opinion, Locche was not much of an offensive fighter while Pac is the opposite. Locche had the defensive skills but from what I've seen he rarely goes on any substained offensive attacks. To me that makes it a close fight when you match them up. In the history section someone matched him up with Pryor and I picked Aaron Pryor for that reason. Pac could outpoint Locche IMO even if Locche makes him look bad.

i think pacquiao can beat armstrong.
armstrong is a workrate guy. power punchers usually beat workrate guys.
duran destroys pacquiao prime for prime 130-154.

I think Pac would have more serious problems with Arguello than he would with Locche. No way would Locche ever hurt Pac but Arguello could. Arguello had concussive power in both of his hands and he was very tall for his division. Pac could not just jump in and out against a fighter like Arguello because he could get hurt by any one of his punches. Of course Pac could hurt Arguello too with his speed and power and Arguello did get stunned by southpaws like Boza Edwards and Bazooka Lamon.. I wish it could have happened and if did, 130-135 is where I would have liked to see it.I am with you with Locche except with the lil Floyd statement there.
Arguello had problems with lateral movement IMO... He has been outboxed by lesser fighters... Pac has lateral movement and he does have head movement... I think Arguello height and right hand would give Pac problems... But, I could see Pac foot speed and movement give Arguello hell.. IMO Pryor came straight at Arguello... I didn't Pryor gave him the movement that Pac would...Comment

Good well thought out analysis.Duran was more intelligent and faced better competition than Pac as well as fought long past his prime in fights he wasnt supposed to be contending in anymore. Pac would have to fight another 10 years to come close to Duran as far as resume and continued success.
That said, at no point does Duran lose to Pacquiao, especially at 135. Again, duran is too intelligent. Duran and Pac arent mirror images at all, Duran was a natural at this sport, whereas Pac under the guidance of roach elevated himself further than if he didint have him.
The thing is, we dont know what pac will do if he loses just a step on his quickness/speed like what with happened to duran, especially when he faced Barkley.
Right now in my opinion, Pacs legacy doesnt stack up with Duran because Duran has several PRIME legends on his resume that are arguably the greatest to ever do it. Morales, Barrera, Marquez are great fighters, but within the threshold of all time greats, those guys arent exactly Jimmie Wilde, Jack Dempsey, Ray Leonard and Harry Greb.
The one fighter Pac could say he could match up with that truely is on that level, that hearns/leonard/hagler type fighter that could elevate him is Mayweather and we see where that went.Comment
