Pacquiao vs Armstrong would be a pretty good fight, Duran knocks Pacquiao out at 135.

"In many ways, Duran and Pacquiao are literally mirror images of each other. In their primes they were pretty much identical in movement and defense"

The guy who wrote is a tard, he doesnt even analyze how the bout would have played out but simply states pac has an edge in speed therefore he wins.

Duran was more intelligent and faced better competition than Pac as well as fought long past his prime in fights he wasnt supposed to be contending in anymore. Pac would have to fight another 10 years to come close to Duran as far as resume and continued success.

That said, at no point does Duran lose to Pacquiao, especially at 135. Again, duran is too intelligent. Duran and Pac arent mirror images at all, Duran was a natural at this sport, whereas Pac under the guidance of roach elevated himself further than if he didint have him.

The thing is, we dont know what pac will do if he loses just a step on his quickness/speed like what with happened to duran, especially when he faced Barkley.

Right now in my opinion, Pacs legacy doesnt stack up with Duran because Duran has several PRIME legends on his resume that are arguably the greatest to ever do it. Morales, Barrera, Marquez are great fighters, but within the threshold of all time greats, those guys arent exactly Jimmie Wilde, Jack Dempsey, Ray Leonard and Harry Greb.

The one fighter Pac could say he could match up with that truely is on that level, that hearns/leonard/hagler type fighter that could elevate him is Mayweather and we see where that went.

This is how I see right now. Great post but somehow IMO that this is not a vise-versa case for Pbf should he beat pac (if they ever meet). If he meets Shane now, that would be a great start though.

For Mayweather a victory over Shane would make him a two time welterweight champion, a unification with Pac would likely setup the lineal champion for welterweight, which if mayweather won, would make him a two time welterweight linear champion, at which point...you literally couldnt say anything anymore about him ducking anyone.

Infact, this mosley fight honestly erases any issues with that. Mosley is the best and most durable welterweight and is a worse matchup for floyd than pacquiao.

Im being serious, if mayweather were to become a two time welterweight linear champion and return to his number 1 spot, this would eclipse Pacquiaos resume in my opinion. Especially mayweather taking on, Marquez who was number two, Mosley who is number 3 and Pacquiao who is number 1. That would be unprecedented.

That same effect can be attributed towards pacquiao as well, this is why its important for pacquiao to win against Clottey, because if he doesnt, Mayweather becomes the defacto number 1, with mosley possibly jumping to the number two spot.

Pacquiao seriously cannot lose March 13th, he has alot more to lose than mayweather, because Mosley is already on his level, Clottey is not.
