Does Floyd have a stylistic vulnerability to southpaws?

I was watching his fights with Corley and Judah based on my notion that the shoulder roll leaves a blind spot to the right hook, and leaves an angle open for straight lefts.

I had forgotten, but Floyd got hurt by both straight lefts and a right hook against Corley. He also was flash KD against Judah on a right hook. I think he was hit cleaner and harder by southpaw punches than I have ever seen him hit by orthodox.

the underlined has it nailed, this is why i told ALL my ***ing boys that this fight is highly unlikely to happen unless floyd loses and NEEDS to take the fight.

Well its harder just like it is for everyone against Southpaws but in the Chop fight he used the shoulder roll and had no respect for Chop's power. In the Mitchell & Zab fight he realized that the shoulder roll doesnt work against Southpaws and started using the high guard which I think shut those guys down for the most part. Zab got a few things in early but nothing too major. Even after like the 4th round, Chop didnt really land much the rest of the fight either. I think he's ok against them now but that does give Pac a chance. If Pac was a righty then it would be a non fight to me. Floyd would murder his ass but because he's a Southpaw, he could catch Floyd with some **** early and lay his ass out. Floyd usually figures them out about the 5th round though and then I think its over for them

Dude, he doesnt need to use the shoulder roll. Thats why he's probably the best defensive fighter in history because unlike all the others, he can totally switch up his style. He dont need to use that. The high guard works good enough and its actually better for him Offensively. You dont get alot of power from that stance but he lets his hands go more because they are already in front of his face and it makes his fast punches even faster since he has a such a short distance to the target.

i think u and many others tend to forget that manny has some sick counters m8.
i dont like to play triangle theories but pbf has been hit by some slow fighters and rocked by some not-so-skilled guys...manny wins pretty easy IMO.

Manny has maybe the best straight left I have ever seen, and a wicked right hook now too. I wouldn't say its an easy win, but I think he is a real threat on that.

Come on now, look at those fights Pac had. They were all brawlers coming straight at him and some of the worst defensive fighters in the game. That **** was cake walk. Im not a guy to believe at all in the trianagle theory but this is the one case where I think it maybe true. I think Floyd could do what JMM did to Pac except Floyd is 10x better than JMM in every catagory, plus he's going ot have the height & length on Pac. This is a very bad matchup for Pac and thats why I still say they are mad insane for not making that fight. There one biggest hope was that Floyd will be rusty & inactive. Now you are going to let him fight JMM and Shane? Dude will be so ready and wont have any rust after that, e****ally if Pac really fights Margarito and then Floyd has another fight. Pac would have no chance. There best chance was in March
