This fight wont be happening for a while, it can be HUGE next year after each guy bags a few more wins and builds their fan bases that bit more and Bob Arum knows that.

Lopez had a way tougher oppenent last night and was weaked by weight making when he fought Roger so i dont hold that against him, to me it proved his heart

But Dayyymn Gamboa is Uber Quick! He has talent for sure, the boy is bad, straight up ruthless!

I wouldnt wanna bet on this fight

Speed and athleticism kills. You can get away with the technical mistakes Gamboa makes when you have the athleticism to get away with it. I would think boxing has shown us that.

If they fight, I take Gamboa because he will most likely just be too fast.

I think Lopez is a stubborn guy that tries to please too much, he fights ****** a lot of the time to be honest. I pick Gamboa not because of what he did to Mtagwa tonight but because I think he's getting better with each outing while I think Lopez continues to make the same mistakes.

It will be a great fight while it lasts but Lopez gets caught and Gamboa lights him up like a Christmas tree. To be honest I don't think the fight even happens, Arum side stepped Caballero and he will do the same to Gamboa imo.

they should make a trilogy out of it.. not a one time "big" affair.

adding accolade and drama boosts their names. so the fight should happen as early as possible.

three meetings in a two year span. thats more $$$ in arums pocket.

WTF? Juanma just stopped a guy who had never been stopped, was a champion with 5 defenses and ranked #2 in the world at FeatherWeight in his first fight in the weight.

            Give me a ****ing break!!!

I agree with the second part of your statment. However, I do think that with a couple more fights and cointued improvement from Gamboa, he will over take Lopez. The guy reminds me a lot of Pacquiao, alot of power, speed and recklessness, but once he gets that under control there'll be no stopping him. He showed a lot more patients last night then I'm use to seeing from him, and placed his punchs well, at times getting alittle wild, but over all staying focused sticking to his game plan. Would like to see him in a fight with Chris John, to see how he does with a guy that can box, who uses the ring well, good defense, smart, but doesn't really have the power of someone like Juanma, but will definitely test him; to see if he's ready for the next level.

              I think both looked great...

Gamboa fought a mediocre fighter but what I liked is that he seems to have matured... he ain't was so wild... stayed within himself... when he starts to fight and throw combos he is still squared up and open but without absolutely no risk you have no fun... he is just a blast to watch.

Lopez looked pretty good against an pretty good fighter. He got hit more often but that was because he came forward and put pressure on him... if he wouldn't it would have been a 12 round fight with jabs and 1-2 combos all the time... he pressured him... did it pretty good, wasn't as wild... seems to have still enough power to hurt 126 pounder...

I would like to see both man fighting each other but not now because it seems as right now it won't be that big... this fight def. deserves more if it comes to full fruitation... I still think that Lopez would win but Gamboa really matured as it seems... if he goes a head like that and start to fight some tougher competition and can mantain that... it will be a burner

I think Arum might finally have the balls to have Lopez fight Caballero now that they've got the opportunity to make him move up to 126 while Lopez has had more time to adjust to the weight. Still something Lopez needs to do is fight Cab but the way he'll do it will be calculated.

they both fought well and lopez knocked the **** out Luevano with that looping left... but gamboa is very very fast if he can keep up that kind of pace for 12 rounds lopez's timing better be on cause he cant match gamboa with speed.

Gamboa kills this guy..I really dont see what people are seeing in Juanma...the guy is horribly slow with no defense. Thudding powerful Margaritoish style of pressure fighter, good on the inside and thats pretty much it..Gamboa steam rolls this guy
