I seriously doubt this fight will happen. Given the track record of ducking the best and substituting in a bum by one of these fighters...I'm almost willing to bet all my points this doesn't happen

Actually he didn't ask for 10oz gloves? The standard in Nevada is 10oz. In order to fight in 8oz gloves both fighters must sign an agreement. So in effect Pac demanded 8 oz gloves and floyd said yes.

Also, never at any point did team mayweather say they wanted the fight at 154....that came out of Roachs mouth.

Also the random blood testing issue was raised in initial negotiations....Roach said it would be no porblem at all.....what changed......??? It was not a problem....then it suddenly became a problem and killed the fight...

We've heard this **** before.. just about 3 weeks ago and that was a way bigger fight financially than this.. Now that mosley has no problem with the testing I wonder what kind of stunt floyd will pull.

i though 8oz were floyds gloves? why did he ask for 10oz and 154. i thought his weight was 147. and in the biggest figth of all time he makes up a new rule. hardly an indication he was up for smooth negotiations.

All other states use 8 oz standard for 147 pound limit fights except for Nevada. This was essentially changes by Arum and Top Rank. Arum threatened to take the Cotto v Margarito fight elswhere unless both were allowed to wear 8 oz gloves (that is what both margarito and cotto wanted).

The NSAC commissioned a half hearted study into whether 8 oz was dangerous at the weight and concluded it was not. So they amended their rules and allowed fighters to choose 8 oz gloves if both parties agree.

but my question is why did he ask for 10 oz when he complained about the same gloves against delahoya? pleez if he really came out of retirement to fight pac he could have followed proper procedure. he did not. dont try and make out he did everything in his power to make the fight happen because you know that is not true.

he could have folowed the normal commission rules the fight goes ahead.
he could have agreed to pacs proposal considering pac has no history of drug use yet he did not.

pac could have agreed to 14 days but he did not. so dont act like floyd bent over backwards to make the fight happen, he did not.

See the problem with your argument there is that a 10 million dollar penalty per pound overweight is not standard procedure either....thats not exactly in the NSAC handbook. It was simply a contract stipulation that team Pac asked for. Just like random testing was a contract stipulation team Mayweather asked for.

Disregard the fact that it is not standard NSAC procedue and ask yourself this question.......Why is random blood testing with a 14 day cut off such a big deal??? With a 14 day cut off no excuse team Pac has offered is acceptable.

pac has a problem with it. deal with it. it will take 3 days out of his training leading up to the biggest fight of his life. im more likely to believe that than he is taking undetected steroids that wont show up after the fight.
