well whats the difference between floyd having a 'su****ion' that pac takes ped's during the 14 days and pac having a 'supersticion' that it weekens him going into the fight. both have no solid evidence behind it yet both have a feeling, and both will stand by it. what is the difference.floyd is as much to blame.

So because it's never been done in boxing sports history, no one should start it? So when those baseball and football players denied to the bitter end as glorifyingly as they could for years and years and even a decade that they weren't on PEDs, and then got caught years later, you covered your eyes and ears on the news? So because someone has never gotten caught before, they shouldn't be tested?floyd came out of retirement to accuse pac the p4p1 of steroids and ask for blood testing thats never been done in the sports history. If he really came out of retirement to fight pac he would have just agreed to normal procedure.floyd fans really need to stop believing in what he says.
floyd came out of retirement to pay his bills. he never really wanted the pac fight, thats why he came up with bull**** tests. Now he is forced to face mosley not alvarez or campbell who goldenboy originally pursued because he would get crucified.
And you go on to say "floyd fans really need to stop believing in what he says" even though:
1- I'm not a fan of Floyd or anybody but myself. That's exactly why you have avatars of another person and I have one of MYSELF (rofl).
2- You state "Floyd came out of retirement to pay his bills" without proven factual information on it, but merely got it from rumors across the media. So which is it? Are we going to believe facts or rumors? You contradict your previous logic. Take your own advice before you preach it.
And then you go on to downplay the fight with Mosley despite the fact it's the fight that makes the MOST sense to him right now. If you were in his position, you would fight Alvarez or Campbell OVER a Mosley fight at this current time? Then you clearly don't know:
1- Boxing politics
2- Financial strategy
3- Marketing strategy
4- Boxing
Because you'd know Mosley is rated THE official #1 Welterweight in the division, AND has a NAME for himself, MUCH bigger of a star, and WAY MORE widely known than the two other fighters you mentioned. And the following you don't even need to take into account, but I'll add it anyway. Take into account Mayweather's brittle hands disallowing him to fight more than two fights a year now. And then take into consideration his current age and the expected life-span of a boxer's career. OF COURSE you're going to choose the biggest pay days and most meaningful fights.
Don't worry, Mosley fight will happen and I have confidence in a Pacquiao fight happening later on.
Call it like it is, stop clouding yourself.

Well, Mayweather can try to start it but when the demand was made PAC doesnt have to agree to it. There is still the mandated standard procedure that PAC was willing to follow.
Although, We may never know really why Fraud Jr made the demand but many suspect it was out of fearComment

so because he has never tested positive- that should be enough for Floyd to risk his life? 24 days is not enough- nor is knowing when the test is- because if he is dirty- he can cycle on for 22 days, and flush it out before the fight and test clean- thats why- many reasons for the su****ions- and if he were indeed clean- he should not have had any issues with taking the tests randomly as FLoyd would have!! and a teaspoon of blood 2 weeks before a fight will not drain you- that is soooooooo absurd- lame excuse. The fact he wouldnt agree to that has to raise eyebrows!!! and the commission in EVERY state has to change its standards to random and blood or someone is going to die in the ring sooner than later- terrible!Comment

I really, really hope this gets made and negotiations don’t ruin this event as well…the way I see it, so what if we have to wait a little longer (hopefully) to get Mayweather / Pac?..Now, instead of one great match, we get TWO…Even though Pac / Clottey and Mayweather / Mosley are both very intriguing, this would show that Mayweather, in my opinion, has one up Pac. Clottey is no walk in the park for ANYONE, but this is Shane Mosley! Who, by the way, has been itching to get his hands on Floyd…I just hope he’s successful at making Floyd ENGAGE. Floyd, because of how he portrays himself on TV, wanna-be gangster and all, doesn’t make him very likeable to me. But as far as boxing skills, give credit where credit is DUE. And I would most certainly respect him for taking this fight with Shane, win, lose or draw.Last edited by livershot73; 01-22-2010, 11:20 AM.Comment

...plus with GBP's track record of excellent undercards (for the MOST part)...compared to Arum's?..that's the only down side to the Pac/Clottey match....Because then they can't say Floyd ducked Manny(which they know in theirhearts is not true) with a straight face!!!!
Every boxing fan shoud be happy if this fight gets made. We get to see 2 good fights with Pac v Clottey and May v SSM.
Clottey vs Pac will do better numbers in Dallas than it would have done in Vegas, given the spectacle the even will be if they promote it right. E.g. a tour of the facilities for the fans in 24/7 with each man intervied in the centre of the empty stadium. Cowboy's cheerleaders as ring girls + promotional duteis etc etc.
We all know SSM vs May will do huge numbers also, especially if it is finalised as early as next week. They would have a very big promotional window.Comment
