Boxer with 9(W)-5(L) Record - Good or Bad?

Can a boxer with 8 wins 5 losses and 1 no contest succeed as a professional fighter? Or is he just a bum or a stepping stone?

It depends, what is the nature of the losses? were they all 3 rounders in mexico, in which he lost disputable decisions?

This is old man, washed up, past his prime, inactive Shane Mosley's fight record for his last 14 fights. Mosley would lose to anyone in the welterweight top 20. The guy has seen too many wars, his body is beat up, he is burned out, he is much older now than when Sugar Ray Leonard lost to Hector Camacho.

Shane Mosley is a has-been that should no longer be allowed to fight.

I am the biggest Mayweather fan around and frankly, I would rather see Floid fight that 19 year old Mexican kid.

Poor Shane Mosley. He has been with wars with Winky Wright, De Lahoya, Forrest. He is all ****** up. He is shot. Sugar Shane is not a 10th of a man that he used to be.

Sugar Shane shouldn't be allowed to fight. As his record, age, and failing health indicates, he should not be given a boxer's license.

I'm just a regular Floyd fan. But I'm a fan of Mosley too and I think he has no business fighting any longer.

If thats the case than why aren't you taking Shanes win over Margarito into consideration? Margs was without a doubt the top dog at 147 after beating Cotto and Shane destroyed him.

Shane would have too much inactivity come May. Way over one year. I'm telling you, this is not a competitive fight. Floyd should look for tougher challenges. Destroying Mosley is expected and therefore won't have any positive impact on his legacy.
