If Floyd beats Shane and Beats Manny is that enough?

All but hardcore Floyd fans feel that floyd needs to do more to seal his legacy. His years spent not fighting top welterweights while campaigning in the welterweight division has negatively affected his image. The pre-welter floyd would haven't been questioned in my opinion, but after moving up and claiming to be the best, but not proving it, he's drawn attention to himself and in his own way negatively effected his legacy, but increased his ppv demand.

What i wonder, if Floyd fights and beats shane, and then fights and beats manny.... Is that enough? Will he still be questioned or will the critics be satisfied with that?

Does he then have to go on and beat paul williams? someone else?

Floyd would be OFFICIAL if he won those 2 fights......but he'll get beat by Shane then Manny will get the same......I wonder where you guys will put Shane IF he knocks out Floyd and Manny in the SAME year?!?.....just asking!!

I already put Shane as the number 1 welter now..so if he KOs Floyd and Pac..
he will for sure be #1 P4P..even if he didnt KO them..if he beat them convincingly he will be there IMO..and I think Mosley is a harder fight than Pac is for Floyd..

History will show that Pac beat DLH and hatton better than PBF did, and that he also beat Cotto, when PBF didnt venture down those roads. He chose not to whatever reason. Cant change history now.
Pac gets extra brownie points however you look at it.

History wont show anything dumb like that. How did he beat them easier? They both stopped Hatton and everyone knows that Oscar was a zombie. Even Roach admits it. Floyd beat both guys 1st and dont act like a KO is better than a Decision. Thats Pac's style. He's always going to stop a guy before Floyd but that dont make it a better win.

If your so deluded that you choose not to understand what i just said. I'll put it another way. If DLH against Pac wasnt stopped in the eighth round like it was and went the full 12 rounds. Pacs 12 round win would have been better than PBFs. DLH was a punch bag for Pac for 12 rounds. If this isnt clear now and you decide to reply to me, i will make it even simpler to understand.

I still want to know how Pac pummelling DLH for the first 8 rounds wasnt as good as how PBF was pitter pattering DLH in the first eight rounds?

yes, especially if he wins both fights untouched. i think beating Mosley is a great start. just taking the fight is a great start for Floyd. i can't wait for this fight, if it falls through over some BS then we can forget about him. period.

If Floyd beats Mosley and Pac you know damn well that`s not gonna be enough for the *******s.They`ll say:He has to fight and beat Pavlik,both klitschos,Paul williams,Chad Dawson,Andre Ward,Andre Dirrell,Samuel Peter,
then they`ll say he would have moved one step closer to the hall of fame.

How you beat people counts as well. IMO the way he beat DLH isnt satisfactory enough. People beat DLH better when DLH was in his prime than PBF did. THere has to be an explanation for that and the explanation is because PBF isnt that good when he faced top opposition.
Yes he beat Hatton, and well done for that. But Collazo nearly beat him as well, as did a few others at 147. Pac showed how its supposed to be done. PBF will always lose brownie points for the manner of his wins.

If he beats Pac it will be far his best win. SSM he should have fought years ago. So he will need a few more over light middlewieight Paul WIlliams to show David really did Goliath.
No one is fooled by his win over DLH as a david and goliath moment in boxing.
Even Duran beat Barkley.
