IF shane knocks out mayweather and manny and with his win over margaritto, I put shane at #1p4p but his ATG status has asterisks all over it................................................ ................... For cheating.

Wipe out 154 and win a MW title? Thats alot. He's not going to do all that. I could see him fighting Martinez and then maybe Williams but no one else around those weights, unless Pavlik's name really blows up. Maybe Spinks since theyve always had a little rival but I doubt it

What i wonder, if Floyd fights and beats shane, and then fights and beats manny.... Is that enough? Will he still be questioned or will the critics be satisfied with that?

Does he then have to go on and beat paul williams? someone else?

        What do you think?
No he needed to fight Shane at 135 and manny in March
he needed to fight Judah before and take on Margs and then cap his career with a cotto then a williams
        hahahaha

LOL, i was just thinking about how funny it would be if floyd moved up to 154, then started fighting the best welterweights......

Pac gets extra brownie points however you look at it.
History wont show anything dumb like that. How did he beat them easier? They both stopped Hatton and everyone knows that Oscar was a zombie. Even Roach admits it. Floyd beat both guys 1st and dont act like a KO is better than a Decision. Thats Pac's style. He's always going to stop a guy before Floyd but that dont make it a better win. Also, history wont matter with that **** once Floyd gets him in the ring and beats dat ass

lol. It takes like 2 fights to wipe out the division + 1 at middleweight. Thats only 3 fights! could happen.

He would be an ATG, best of this generation and one of the most skilled for sure.

Yes he beat Hatton, and well done for that. But Collazo nearly beat him as well, as did a few others at 147. Pac showed how its supposed to be done. PBF will always lose brownie points for the manner of his wins.

If he beats Pac it will be far his best win. SSM he should have fought years ago. So he will need a few more over light middlewieight Paul WIlliams to show David really did Goliath.
No one is fooled by his win over DLH as a david and goliath moment in boxing.
                  Even Duran beat Barkley.
1st-no one bases Floyd's legacy on the DLH win..except for the fans who dont know his career..and Floyd stood right in front of DLH and countered him and blocked all night without even moving..if you dont appreciate the sweet science of that, I dont know what to tell you!
2nd-PBF has faced top oppostition..and he was good.
3rd-Pac did show us how its to be done..fight DLH at a drained 147, instead of moving up like Floyd did!
4th-Shane should have fought him years ago, but as Schaefer said..Mosley passed on him, so the fight went to DLH

you do realize that Floyd only fought 2 years actively in the welter division..thats what i dont get with peoples comments..they act is if he spent the bulk of his career in welter..when 90% of his fights were not welter..his best wins were not welter..he moved to welter late 2005, early 2006...he retired at the end of 2007..and he was retired for 2 years before coming back in Sep.09..so when you do the math..he fought DLH/Hatton/Judah/Baldmomir/Mitchell in the span of 2 years that he was a welter..

most of your post makes alot of sense, however i think you're forgetting that Oscar had all the bargaining power in this fight, so there was no intentional weight drainage, in fact a large percentage of us boxing fans thought that oscar would just maul right throw the little pac-man.... People were mad at oscar for making manny gain all that weight... i don't recall anyone at the time of the oscar manny fight saying... "poor oscar, manny is weight draining him"
