I am not ignorant in the business aspect of the sport. It shows that Mayweather makes good business decisions. But not necessarily good boxing decisions.

Same thing when Pacquiao declined to Mayweather's whims and demands, he is not the Commission. Had NSAC demanded blood testing as a mandatory thing, it would be of no question that Pacquiao would oblige by it.

Both are in good standings according to the NSAC but an accusation and allegation to bait someone to blood testing isn't the best way, in fact it is the arrogant way.

Just like anyone "impeachment" to the President, does that mean the President would be subjected towards TRIAL IMPEACHMENT right away?

No, there should be a preliminary trial to see if there is a VALID GROUND or two that would determine its validity. And thus the lawsuit against the Mayweathers.

Sure you have a grasp of the business aspects of the Mayweathers and calling me ignorant, does it mean it makes it so? NO.

I, as a pugilist purist, am happy to see Mayweather to fight Mosley. I would hope to see them fight and would hope that the winner would fight the winner of Pacquiao/Clottey fight towards the pound for pound fight for the ages.

As an Ali fan growing up and seeing him fight LIVE in Thrilla in Manila as a 7 year old it has made an indelible mark in my mind that forever tagged me as a boxing fan, nothing more, nothing less.

I would love to see a MASTER OF DEFENSE in Mayweather fight against the relentless and blitzing style of boxing Pacquiao has.

    Nothing more, nothing less.

    Respectfully...

GOod post my man I am out of green K but someone please sned this man some green K for that post. That being said to call what Mayweather did a DUCK is still ignorant and a false statement you cant say making a demand such as random drug testing is a DUCK when there is plenty of money involved. Also you cannot ignore my other points I made in this thread...Lefty

i sent him some green i think floyd did succeed in getting some to look at pac in a different light, i dont know if he is or not but when he refuse to the tests it made me look at him differently, i though with sports being the way they are, it would be a no brainer for someone to accept this conditions

I am a newbie in this forum and I would glad to know your postings and contributions as well. Doesn't mean that I am ignorant as well. You seemed to have a very thorough knowledge on current boxing and Mayweather.

WHile I, just coming back to boxing from the 80s and early 90s since boxing "died"...I am only enticed again to watch because of the Pacquiao and Mayweather possibility and regain the old glory of boxing.

My remarks of Mayweather "ducking" good opponents is a purist remarks on pugilism not business. I don't care much for the business of boxing though important. To me, I am cut from the old school boxing type....I just want to see good boxers who fight. Period.

Like I said, I have long admired Mayweather's unprecented mastery of defense and thus I would like him to fight a seemingly "wild" and "caveman" like boxing of Pacquiao. The fine art of pugilism by Mayweather vs the bombastic and dynamism of a Tazmanian Devil in Pacquiao....

But there is some validity that Mayweather is very selective of his past opponents. THat is why I am crowing, not against him but I would love to his skills tested to the utmost. Unfortunately his motivations are about business and money only. Whether that is true to the core or just an alibi, he is a force to be reckoned with.

Yes I am a Filipino-American but doesn't I am a "*******" or "pacfart" as most love flinging around here *******ly. Like I have said already, I love to watch boxing and nothing more.

I do have some background in the FMA and JKD and thus continuing the art of fighting till now. And there's nothing that would whet my appetite than to see contrasting styles pitted against each other.

Hope that Mayweather would win against Mosley, while Pacquiao would hopefully win against Clottey towards the inevitable: Fight for the ages.

But anything can happen along the way, such is life.

                    1) His first come back fight he takes on JMM. People call him a cherry picker amongst other things. This was done for one reason to obtain better bargaining leverage at the negotiations table. He takes out JMM in pretty easy fashion thus eliminating a public demand for a PAC vs JMM III.

                    2) He demands RANDOM TESTING for the fight with PAC on 3/13. When PAC made it a bigger thing than originally intended he puts an * next to PACS name in many of the common fans eyes. Thus the only fighter who is possibly compared to him as the BEST OF THIS ERA in many people eyes may have cheated. Even if he didn't walking away from 40 million in comparision to just giving blood RAISED some eyebrows.

                    3) He keeps his demand for RANDOM TESTING and says he is going to use it in every fight going forward to "CLEAN UP BOXING" PAC announces a fight with Clottey anther TOP RANK promoted fighter for the 3/13 date. NO SUCH TESTING is required. People are leaning back towards PAC and a good fight Floyd is left in limbo with out a dance partner. (no pun intended)

                    4) 1/18/09 Berto with draws from match with Mosley for Jan 30th date. Now possible match up between Floyd and Mosley lands in Floyds lap. Whether it goes down on March 13th or May1st undecided. But he puts the demand out there for RANDOM DRUG TEST with an admitted ROID user. (whether he knew about it or not he did admit it sorry Shane) Floyd can ink this deal he goes one up on Manny and also eliminates another potential opponent for Manny post his 3/13 date and inches himself a little closer to cornering Manny and shifting momentum back to GBP and himself at the negotiations table.

Just my take on thing gentlemen agree or disagree....Lefty
fighting jmm was a calculated move , i think his sole purpose for coming back was a pac fight.

don't know why he asked for drug testing. it could be an intentional move to get in pac's head or he really thinks pac is on peds or he wants to smear pac's name or it was hype that spun out of control. who knows?

great fight if he fights mosley but don't make it seem like floyd calculated everything. unless he can predict natural disasters.

hope mosley-mayweather gets done. shame berto-mosley ain't happening.

lol. and i agree with that. i think that could be the closest mayweather could always be on his mind "how can i dodge or take an advantage to _______" if he's about to face an elite opponent. Hahaha
