Floyd has been in the game too long to be "scared" of anyone. He's fought big hitters in the past, but everyone knows by now that his defense has allowed him to hit his opponent while remaining unscathed and that's what his detractors are peeved about.

He fought a much heavier and better version of Oscar than the one Manny faced. Let's not forget that Freddie was in Oscar's corner in that fight -- that Shane was hired to prepare Oscar -- and that Oscar availed himself of Floyd Sr.'s services for several fights before facing Floyd.

GBP was singing the praises of Floyd being the best in the game after Floyd
manhandled Ricky Hatton.

So the "scared" moniker is a tired word already even for any fighter who jumps in the ring to knock the other guy's block off.

remeber too that those floyd fyts were ages ago.
the floyd now have hurting hands and "rib injury".....he needs to pump in pain killers.

if floyd fights mosley and wins.... he goes down as one of the greatest to ever lace up... u can not take that from him.... he is easily in the same breath as leonard, ali, and robinson.... if he goes on to fight pac and wins then there is no question that he is the greatest fighter we have ever seen... imo

but let's see how floyd will win the fyt against mosley.....

there are two scenarios you are wishing for..first against mosley and then against pac.

Yep.....if they go head to head May vs Mosley PPv will crush Pac vs Clottey.

Though i doubt this will happen in March....my guess is May 1 or may 8.....GBP has those dates booked @ MGM grand. Maybe they go all out and put JMM vs Katsidis on the undercard (If Juan is not too offended by that?)

Haha.....c'mon dude....Mayweather vs Mosley will destroy Pac vs Clottey on any date.......all my points to that effect (not that i have many)

floyd is very scared to fight pac or mosley. i'm not saying he can't beat either guy although i think pac would crush him but the fact is he is scared to fight them. floyd has not been in the ring with guys that have this type of power and ability to end fights in a very long time. he does not like to get hit and both of these guys will land their fair share on pretty boys face. i'm not convinced he will ever get in the ring with either of these guys.

How ironic because Mosley was begging Pacquiao for a fight
and even suggested going down to 140 for Manny and Pac
didn't want it with Shane AND just recently Manny didn't want
it with Floyd because he didn't want to do random blood and urine
testing 14 days before the fight. Funny how Floyd is working
towards fighting Mosley and Mosley has agreed to take the
tests. Pac didn't do or want both. On top of that, Mosley/Mayweather
will be the biggest fight this year not Pacquiao/Clottey.
Funny how things play out.

A fight against Mosley is exactly what we have wanted from Mayweather. I don't see how anyone can look at the missed opportunities against Kosta, Cotto, Shane, Margarito, and now Pacquiao, and not begin to wonder why NONE of those fights happen.

Fighting Mosley is a very good first step towards what we have asked of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and I hope this is his jumping off point for fights against the rest of the elite in the welterweight division.
