You cant because you would not get a foot hold in the argument. Elite fighters are much much harder to beat than building a resume over solid wins thats why Hatton looked a very good fighter until he faced two in their prime.

Completely different level it is, that saw Hamed a very good fighter get owned by Barrera.

Joe Calzaghe, by far. Some hate him because he's white and not an American.

Greatest super middleweight of all time. Fought and defeated everybody in his division: Kessler, Reid, Eubank, Lacy, Mitchell, Brewer, etc.

How many great fighters would of been capable of dominating at their own weight class if they had stayed in their natural weight division? loads!!!

Great fighters seek out challenges by moving up if there are none at their own weight class. Having a tidy little career in the comfort zone of your own weight class and beating B class opponents do not impress me that much.

Id give Joe more props if he had 5 losses but had wins over elite fighters in their prime because it would mean he fought the best, not the best available to him in his own weight class.

also i think the BHop-winky decision couldve gon eighter way, but BHop beat calzaghe clearly.

also quartey, and most think winky beat vargas (i do anyways).

winkys resume is way better, the only argument for calzaghe is that he was undefeated.

I said Winky because of the two Mosley wins.
Joe had a longer career, but don't have wins over a prime ATG like those two wins.

                  i wud say joe calzaghe
both resumes are on a par with the fact they both faced strong opposition throughout there careers and have got some nice names on them but calzaghe edges it imo.
winkys biggest wins where against mosley in winkys natural division of 154 and although shanes affective at 54 he started at 135 and through natural progression would become a natural welterweight. winky has done little to nothing since moving north of 154 barring a debateable draw with then lineal and true middleweight champion jermain taylor.
calzaghe won a vacant belt at 168 against a faded but still game eubank and racked up 21 defences , maybe against a few bum of the months , but joes 168 ledger does read the whos who of super middleweights over the last 10 years barring sven ottke. he unified against 'the next big thing' jeff lacy starting of the first true lineage at 168 and defending the lineage and picking up the wba and wbc belts along the way against hes real mandatory in mikkel kessler. he moved up north to 175 and beat 2 living legends but i will accept jones jr just adds name value.
                  my verdict joe calzaghe

                      C'mon.

                      Winky get clearly outlanded.

As for the Calz vs Hopkins, you can say everything except Hopkins beat clearly Calzaghe.
                      IT'S BIAS OR IGNORANCE.

It's a question of how you judge a fight,if you count pitty pat punches or not.

                      Calzaghe landed more.
Hopkins landed more accurate and harder. And I'm gracious cuz Hopkins was bitchslapped all around the ring for the last six rounds.

                      Winky get beat.
