Nothing wrong with his comment. Williams hardly uses his height and reach properly. Martinez and Quintana, **** even Sharmba were able to tag him cause he would come to them. Tall boxers shouldn't do that.

i give him propz for wantin to fight the best but i just dont think PW is as good as some people make him out to be

i'm a fan, but i thought the first quintana fight was a fluke.....then after seeing the martinez fight, i realized PW isn't all he's cracked up to be...


yea, you gotta admire him for his willingness to "fight ANBODY..." but at the same time, that's b/c hte guy is still trying to prove he's a somebody...if he ever reaches the level, as being "A DRAW" we'll see .......


williams is a high volume puncher, but he needs a fighter that's gonna be right in front of him....anybody that moves and gives him angles, has a great chance to beat him, regardless of height or weight.....and that's b/c, despite being such a big guy, williams punches like a girl.....

Well when he buys into his own hype to the point of trashing Pavlik for being seriously messed up from Staph and claims it's a ploy to duck him, he's seems like an ass to me

I heard you on the show and you seem reasonable, laid back and a decent guy. No PW fans have layed out for me some actual insight into why or what they think will enable PW to beat Pavlik.

What do you see him having that is enough to get the job done?

Pavlik is a very slow fighter. He throws wide looping shots that you can see coming a mile away. Paul is much faster and more athletic then Pavlik. He will SURELY beat Pavlik to the punch all night.

Pavlik can be smothered by activity like Hopkins proved. Hopkins gave Kelly punches fromVERY angle and fast hand speed to go with it. Williams is much faster then Hops.

Williams is a guy who excels when he doesnt have to chase his opponent around the ring like against Slick Lefties. Kelly is a plodder and very flat footed and would be a target for Paul or night.

Kelly does have a powerful right hand that I believe Paul can take. ASlso the kind of right hand that got Paul was one he DIDNT see coming against Sergio...There is nothing that Sergio does that Pavlik can copy in the ring.

When Kelly has alot of punches coming at him he just covers up. He can easily be jabbed and even counterd by Williams...who is just soooo much faster and equal to him in size...even though Paul has the height and reach advantage.

Paul also has the stamina to go 12 rounds with no problems. Pavlik will find it hard to get in a rthym and get off vs. Williams....just too many punches from too many different angles at highspeeds. Williams is a world class opponent. I think he beats Kelly pretty easily.

I think that has more to do with how many punches he throws but I don't see him fighting on the inside like Jose Luis castillo or anything. Thats fighting on the inside! Throwing a million punches 6ft away from your opponent is not.

That guy is right Williams doesn't use his height or reach properly. He gets caught so much because he doesn't come in behind a solid jab and he has no defense. Williams believes his offense is his defense which ******ed. He is good fighter but highly overrated.
