Cotto is simply a warrior at heart. He fights like a warrior and always has. Warrior's generally have shorter primes than boxers.

That does not take away from what he did and may still do in that ring. In that short prime he has done a helluva lot. His resume is huge.

No bull**** on his resume at all. He took the hard road from the beginning and except for a couple tuneups, fought the best competition that was available.

He is a role model that I wish other fighters would follow. He is a beast.

you are a ***en idiot! Arum made people believe cotto was more than what he is! Cotto owes everything to arum. "way to early" ??? are you ***en ******??? Go back in your cave you troll. Arum gave cotto so many title shots! Arum gave cotto vacant belt, after vacant belt, after vacant belt. Arum made cotto millions! Of course promoters make money off fighters that's their ***en jobs! Without promoters boxers would be ****! tell me how in the *** cotto gets to where he's at without arum? when boxers start boxing they are poor as ****! it's the promoter that gets them through life and their career. Stay off the internet you troll. Cotto is overrated and that's due to the good job arum did in promoting him.

This is true. The TS is way off base. I know people will get mad as hell at this but Arum is responsible for shaping and guiding the careers of 4 of the most lucrative fighters of recent memory:

          De La Hoya
          Mayweather
          Pacquiao
          Cotto

It is facts. Can't argue with them.

Mr. Bob Arum got Miguel Cotto the biggest fights. You can even say he bent the rules. Formerly, and the WBC was infamous for this rule, "A fighter "MUST" come off a win to challenge for a title"

Even Oscar De La Hoya had to come off a win to challenge the current WBC Champ,

Lost to Shane Mosley, then won Arturo Gatti (RIP)
Challenged Javier Castillejo for WBC Light Middle Weight Title....

Lost to Shane Mosley again, then won a UD against Felix Sturm.
Challenged Bernard Hopkins' Middle weight Tiltes.

Miguel Cotto, coming off a lose, still got a Tittle fight, surpassing the #1 contender (Joshua Clottey). Yeah the title was vacant, but still The #1 contender had to wait his turn, then fighters will state they are "avoided", (Margarito, Paul Williams, Joshua Clottey, etc.)

It's all business...who ever can generate the most money. One must keep thier feelings out of Boxing. You gotta roll with the punches.

how is it so easy to blame the promoter?

bob arum may have done more bad to boxing, but not with cotto nor any fighter he had used to handle. the think about dlh and mayweather is that as their fame rose, they became more greedy. bob arum made golden boy and pretty boy floyd. i don't blame them if they wanted to leave arum because they are not property. especially floyd know that he wouldn't get to fight dlh if he stayed. bob arum as emotional as he is, made a big deal out of it that's why they hate each other now.
