Cotto wasn't ruined. You look back on this generation of boxing and you will always remember Miguel Cotto. He'll be mentioned on every fight you watch because he was constantly fighting the best he could find.

No one ruined Miguel Cotto. Miguel Cotto is the best thing a boxing fan could wish for in any generation.

this thread is a damn shame. a "boxing fan" complaining about a promoter actually putting his fighter in competitive fights where the outcome is not a clear cut choice either way.

                PATHETIC

Bob Arum guided cotto's career very nicely, he got him ALL THE BIG FIGHTS, multiple world titles, the best fighters available, a huge ppv star, millions of dollars....what more would you want your promoter to do!?

Duck all the opposition? Oh I see. So now all of a sudden the right path is to avoid tough fights i.e floyd mayweather & joe calzaghe. That's the path to glory
Exactly. Arum got Cotto all the big fights he could. The only one he could not land was Floyd. Cotto is now a very rich man.

Arum gave him everything on a silver platter. It was up to Cotto to win in those fights. He could not win them all, but man the guy got a ton of opportunities. He will also get more.

Anyone who claims Arum did him wrong does not have a clue what they are talking about.

Im surprised Cotto got so far before his stance got him into trouble which was inevitable imo.

You cant fight flat footed with all your weight on your lead foot and leave yourself open up the middle and not pay the price for it eventually.
