Is Mayweather vs. Malignaggi really that bad of a fight?

I'm sure I'm gonna be called crazy, but I don't see this as a easy showcase fight for Mayweather.

Stylistically, Paulie could give Floyd some problems. He has the speed, the elusiveness, the ring savvy to be competitive with Floyd. Obviously, I would FAVOR Floyd in this bout, but I don't see Floyd completely and totally outclassing him. Paulie has a great jab and movement, but his Achilles's heel would be his lack of power which would make it a somewhat safe fight for Floyd. He may take chances against Malignaggi.

The fight would defo be boring, though. I don't know if this would be a great choice if Floyd is trying to win fans over.

at 140 it's not a bad fight, at 147 it's a joke

The only way this fight would be exciting is if Mayweather just walked through Magliganni and knocked him out. I don't mind watching Mayweather dancing and boxing vs. another style, but I sure as heck don't want to see two guys dancing around the ring like fairies...

I don't think that their styles make for a terrific fight. It's probably an even safer fight for Floyd than the Matthew Hatton fight, at least MH has some (although limited) punching power.

There will be 24/7 shows for sure, and they will build up Paulie as something he isn't. They'll talk about a change of trainer and how his trainer trained him wrong for the Ricky Hatton fight. They'll show how he dominated Juan Diaz (twice) under his new trainer and people will get interested. It'll be a HBO PPV with a surprisingly good buy-rate but will be a very very boring fight with Mayweather winning by UD.

They would sell the **** out of this fight.

IMO the 24/7 ain't gonna be that great. Both guys talking **** bout Pac, and both saying how great Floyd is. I think Paulie's gonna be like a teenage girl meeting the Jonas Bros. I hope this fight is just a rumor and Floyd fights Bradley or waits for the winner of SSM-Berto.

I don't understand the mindframe of some people. When Pac was said to be fighting Paulie, it was bs and a sorry fight. Now you're defending it because it's your man that might fight him?

2501, Im shocked that you would like this fight but I love it because Im a super huge fan of the sweet science. I love the thought of Floyd, Paulie, Spinks, and Zab fighting eachother even though Zab is a little different. I love high speed chess matches and guys who are master pure boxers. Nothing is better to me.

With that being said, I dont want to see this fight because I dont want to see Paulie lose to Floyd and they are both 2 super great talkers who I dont want to see trash talk eachother because they are good friends. I hope Floyd picks someone else
