Yeah I chose Quintana cos he's a southpaw, and a solid sized welterweight with decent skills. The Bradley fight would prob be the best one but of course if he beats Bradley we'd have to endure more of the 'smaller man' argument

Quintana would be a good match up. I don't give CQ much chance of victory, however he would probably be one of the most skillful boxers PBF has faced.

Cintron would be good. He would probably be the hardest puncher PBF has faced.

I personally don't want him to fight Bradley. I'm a big fan of the guy and would rather see him continue to build his already very solid resume at 140 by fighting JMM/Hatton/Khan/Maidana etc. I don't want to see Bradley dragged up in weight and used as an opponent.

One fight I would like to see is...Kell Brook

Brook is young, inexperienced, and I'm certain that he would lose to Floyd. However, I think that losses are overrated. The right kind of fighter can gain more from a defeat than a victory. The fight would teach Brook a lot, and it would give him good exposure in the US. If Mayweather is serious about fighting in the UK (and to be honest I don't think he is. It seems to just be rumours, rather than him actually saying it) then Brook would be a much better opponent than any other UK welterweight.

I'm pretty much alone on that last one though, because I'm probably the only Brook fan in this thread

I think it will be likely Malignaggi or Cintron. Bradley is a showtime fighter and it will be difficult for the Showtime people to allow their fighter on HBO. Remember the whole Tyson vs Lewis fight? They had to share everything even ring announcers and commentators.

Personally, i won't watch it even if its Bradley. After the mess with the pac fight i won't support mayweather and boxing is bigger than him.

That's a good point but doesn't help that I haven't seen Jan fight. I'll see if I can download one of his fights.

when the bums name is baldomir its titled pretty risky and sold for 50 bucks on ppv.

Mayweather has to fight a similar opponent that has the public feeling like he could possibly catch an L.

My three selections look like this:

                1. Paul Williams - Paul Williams is known by all hardcore boxing fans. He's viewed as a genuine pound for pound level fighter. If Floyd can get him to come down to 147 then I think Floyd's perception might be that Paul will be weakened by the weight loss.

While I view Paul as a stone-cold assassin, I think Floyd can win this fight in the same fashion he did when he beat Diego "Chico" Corrales. This is, imo, the most logical fight for Team Floyd to make...

                2. Miguel Cotto - Miguel is still viewed as a top tier Welterweight by most. Even though he's coming off the loss to Pacquiao, he's still viewed as a serious threat and ko puncher. This would also be a perfect way for Floyd to steal some of Pac's shine by beating Cotto in a more dominant fashion.

                3. Julio C Chavez Jr. - Before you LYAO into a twilight zone-like coma at the thought of such a horrendous matchup, think of it from Team Floyd's standpoint. JC has a PPV worthy name, he's undefeated (we all know how much floyd likes to count his opponents' losses) and he's a naturally bigger fighter.

I think obviously Floyd would view this fight as winnable, but could somehow sell it to the public as a huge risk he's taking by fighting a big, undefeated, mexican star. lol!

Honorable Mention for a fight w/Floyd: Bernard Hopkins Hold up... ya'll don't think Bernard would come down to 155 for a 50-50 financial split with Floyd Mayweather?? I don't put anything past Bernard...
I won't mind seeing a Floyd-Hopkins fight. 24/7, the press conferences will be hilarious. Plus it will be easy to make since both are with Golden boy...

Difference is baldomir was lineal champ and had actually beaten someone.

                  Zaveck? Not so much.

Not that i was happy to see the Baldomir fight either.

Can hopkins even make 160 anymore?

Lets hope for Manny Pacquiao vs Kelly Pavlik and Mayweather vs Hopkins in the fall.
