The perception that some people have of Pac-Clottey is that Pac could possibly lose, or at least get pushed very hard.

Mayweather has to fight a similar opponent that has the public feeling like he could possibly catch an L.

My three selections look like this:

    1. Paul Williams - Paul Williams is known by all hardcore boxing fans. He's viewed as a genuine pound for pound level fighter. If Floyd can get him to come down to 147 then I think Floyd's perception might be that Paul will be weakened by the weight loss.

While I view Paul as a stone-cold assassin, I think Floyd can win this fight in the same fashion he did when he beat Diego "Chico" Corrales. This is, imo, the most logical fight for Team Floyd to make...

    2. Miguel Cotto - Miguel is still viewed as a top tier Welterweight by most. Even though he's coming off the loss to Pacquiao, he's still viewed as a serious threat and ko puncher. This would also be a perfect way for Floyd to steal some of Pac's shine by beating Cotto in a more dominant fashion.

    3. Julio C Chavez Jr. - Before you LYAO into a twilight zone-like coma at the thought of such a horrendous matchup, think of it from Team Floyd's standpoint. JC has a PPV worthy name, he's undefeated (we all know how much floyd likes to count his opponents' losses) and he's a naturally bigger fighter.

I think obviously Floyd would view this fight as winnable, but could somehow sell it to the public as a huge risk he's taking by fighting a big, undefeated, mexican star. lol!

Honorable Mention for a fight w/Floyd: Bernard Hopkins Hold up... ya'll don't think Bernard would come down to 155 for a 50-50 financial split with Floyd Mayweather?? I don't put anything past Bernard...
none of these fights will ever come off unfortunately

chavez jr and cotto are top rank fighters, no friggin way top rank lets one of their fighters fight floyd on the same date as pac

hopkins and williams are kind of unrealistic at this point, williams would want to but floyd wont

I voted Quintana because he's a welterweight and a southpaw. I don't think Mayweather can make 147 anymore so any light welterweights are not an option because I wouldn't want to see a bout at the mysterious "catchweight"

Note: I'm not gonna add Sergio Martinez/ Paul Williams to the list. It's ****** to gamble the kind of money Mayweather would make facing Shane/ Pacquiao on Martinez/ Paul.
Nah! i think a mayweather-calderon fight would be more exciting, lol!!!

Kendall Holt/ Lamont Peterson in my opinion are as big Mayweather, Holt is a harder puncher but I wouldn't say overall stronger. I'll never know how Holt can get down to Jr WW . Anyway, Bradley isn't a little guy but I guess I'd rather have him establish himself more.

Yeah, he weighed in at 146 vs. Marquez, but yeah he probably can't make 147 anymore...

Not a couple of weeks. More like a couple of months.

No way Mosley will fight before May.
