You're right, and that was Conte's take on the matter, also. But the accusations have gone from HGH to EPO now. So, what is the basis of Mayweather's accusations? It went from weight/size and power to now stamina.

These accusations are also beyond Alex Ariza's expertise.

I dont think Mayweather had a specific drug they were targeting. They want testing for ALL of them. Which is why it makes sense to do both types.

But like I said, what do I know? Im just stating that I think doing random blood and urine gives you a better chance to catch a cheat than limiting it......just something to think about.

it has been stated by multiple people that such a wide window would allow for an athlete to use PED's for a short period of time, and have enough time to get back off and test clean on fight night...the whole idea of "random" testing is so that you can be tested at any time, on any date, for any reason, or no reason at all...it doesn't allow for ANY splip ups...

head back a few years and you would have heard this argument on a baseball forum with people defending Canseco, McGwire, and Bonds..."never failed a test" "baseless allegations" "hearsay" "wild speculations."

Testing for ANYTHING at one time would have been considered "unprecedented in the history of the sport." So does that mean they should have never started testing for PED's to begin with?

Testing MUST evolve as athletes/trainers/doctors/suppliers become more adept at creating and administering drugs that can circumvent current testing methods...

There is nothing more ridiculous about Floyd wanting this testing, than Manny wanting the weight clause...

because he is from a non-profit organization he is a quack? I say the exact opposite, it is the doctor's that are on payroll that need to be worried about. The right amount of money could cause ANY person to bend facts or distort data if its "in the interest of the sport."

I dont think its that far-fetched to think that any pro boxer could be doping. I dont see what the problem taking better tests is, and I dont see why you wouldnt want to set an example with the biggest and most high profile fight.

Conte is stressing that May's concern was EPO. Not HGH.

"You can get an advantage at 24 days that you can't at 14 days because of the testing period and ramping on/off."

There is direct urine tests for EPO, its even there in the WADA site. HGH is what you need bloodtests for. Problem is both EPO and HGH are usually clumped up in the term PED and writers make us believe that you need bloodtests to detect EPO. Anyway, Mayweather needs to have this olympic-style test in his fights from now on, or it'll be seen as something he only cooked-up to duck Pacquiao.

Barry Bonds was the most gifted player of his generation (outside of maybe Ken Griffey Jr.) there was no reason for him to take PED's and that was an excuse A LOT of people used for him right up until his positive tests came out...

2. Pac agreed to unlimited urine testing, and "random" blood testing up to a certain cut off window (24 days)
3.There are conflicting opinions among doctor's as to what are the most appropriate ways to go about testing for various PED's. Some say urine is fine, some say blood is better. But we can ALL agree that both would be best to keep the integrity of the sport.

$40 million on the table...won't give some blood to make it happen...sounds su****ious no matter how hard you try to spin it to Floyd's fault...

you can say that Floyd should have just accepted the normal testing, or the 24 day window all you want...

for $40 million i would fight a prime Tyson after having WATCHED Antonio Margarito wrap his hands with plaster and glass, squeeze them into a 2oz glove with a piece of iron glued to the front of it...and let them take as much blood as they wanted before the fight...

He's not even gonna bother fighting any GBP fighters anytime soon, because GBP are gonna ask for olympic random testing. The only one i can see figthing Manny without that type of test is, Mosley. Floyd, Marquez, ect all going to ask for random testing. I think it's a great way to get back at Bob Arum just to show that he's not bigger than the sport, the sport is bigger than him. If he wants any GBP fighters, test the test randomly or find someone else. They'd already rejected Marquez when he asked for it. It's funny how this guy isn't afraid of any boxers out there, but he's afraid to take a test RANDOMLY.

Look, you're entitled to your opinion, people are going to come to conclusion anyway. If Schaefer and Mayweather care so much about fair play, they should petition for it, something you forgot to add to your list there. Pacquiao is willing to do what the commission asks.

Bottom line is that Pac's 24 day window counteroffer was an acceptable time frame for whatever testing organizations to prove if Pac was on the juice or not. Definitely a test right after the fight as well.

All Floyd had to do was to sign the dotted line and March 3 was on secured with the knowledge that Pac wasn't gonna pull off anything illegal, but no.

He wanted a mental edge over Pac. He feels he needs to mess up with Pac's brain a bit in order to win. That or he needed a way out of the negotiations. His FEAR is quite obvious.

Over 11,000 athletes (including more than a dozen Filipinos) went to the Beijing Olympics.

Did they lose a mental edge because of testing?

Floyd was trying to make a 14 day deal with Pac right up until the very end. But you need to tell yourselves that it's FMJ's fear. Yeah, OK.
