The buck ultimately stops with Khan. Khan is the gaffer because its his career.

You are an imbecile and you have no idea what a fighter's mindset is like and how having your coach who you respect a lot not wanting you to take the fight would dint your confidence.

Oh yes great analogy, really similar to the situation at hand.

maidana's that type of fighter that can take khan's heart - he poses the same threat as prescott a hard punching, fearless bull with a chin.

          maidana's the real deal.

CounterPuncha,Bull**** I know several fighters personally, have trained with them. If Khan's mind is that fragile to be that mentally affected he should get out of the fight game. Khan can beat Maidana. You might buy into the team Khan spin but the" Khan will fight anybody" line starts wearing thin when it is not backed up particularly when he has the convenient cop out :its my trainers fault".It is a licence to say whatever you want and not be held accountable and I don't buy it. That spin might fool some suckers like you but not everyone .He made radio interviews where he said he was happy to fight Maidana. Do you think Roach and him never discussed Maidana before those interviews? Of course they did . So why the sudden turn around? Has Maidana all of a sudden got better ? Why the change.

David Haye undisputed CW Champion after 21 fights.

26 fights Tim Bradley's had, Khan 23, take a look at the difference quality of opposition.

Khan is not a prospect anymore he is a World Champion!

If he has any desire to prove himself he will fight the likes of Maidana or he will go after old (smaller)slow, past it JMM and feather fisted fighters like Malignaggi.

At least Roach is honest about it. I doubt Khan is openly telling his camp to avoid the guy. Let's be honest, we all know Maidana is a horrible matchup for Khan.

Is a guy like Alexander a better fighter and a better win? I think so. It's also a better matchup. Malignaggi a better matchup as well.

Why?? Cos he Khan't punch?? How long will this joke cherry picking go on for??
He is a champion now, not a contender, the whole point of being a champion is to take on all those who challenge that title.

I can't defend them on this one, as much as i hate Maidana and think Khan would cream him, ducking him is basically forefitting.

                      This doesn't surprise me.

                      Khan is a protected fighter.
