Damn this hurts me. I'm a big fan of Khan and Roach, but this choice is wrong.

yep , his team has to realize that sometimes these high risk low reward fights are sometimes neccessary in order to build reputation with more hardcore fans ,

Maidana is a bigger name than Khan everywhere but the UK. This would be the perfect opponent for Khan:

-Good name
-HBO would be chomping at the bit for this one
-Would show Khan could compete with a ****er

However, it's very clear Khan is a protected lamb (he is with Roach and Warren after all) who won't face a puncher.

This is how I look at it too as far as Maidana's worth as an opponent. He has power, which would help answer the questions about Khan's chin, he KOed another big prospect in Victor Ortiz which got his name out there, and Khan has way more talent and boxing skills so he should definitely win.

Amir Khan said on SkySports text today that he is willing ti fight Maidana, It's Roach who said they don't want the fight. He probaly got those orders off Frank Warren.
