Steroid Testing-Straigh To The Point

this fight is not like any of his previous 40 fights, for obvious reasons....
but the biggest reason, many of you are overlooking, is the fact that NONE of floyd's previous opponents had been accused before the fight of using steroids. other boxers have come out against pacquiao, as well as floyd's father.....so comparing this example to others is wrong.
floyd has manned up, and agreed to every stipulation top rank has put forth on him, but asking manny to be randomly drug tested is too much on mayweather's part?
every excuse manny and top rank have given for not wanting the tests, including time frame, and the company conducting the tests, GBP has come back and said "we're willing to negotiate..."
top rank and manny, say "no,no,no.....it's our way, or no fight."
you can't type with straight fingers, that anybody other than top rank and manny pacquiao is the reason this fight isn't signed, and they'll be the reasons this fight won't get made if it doesn't.
when you have 1 side willing to negotiate EVERYTHING, and the other side taking hard-line stances at every turn, you can't help but use common sense as to what's going on here.
The stipulations that Top Rank gave was 10mil/lb overweight. Since Floyd did come in overweight in his last fight. Top Rank has this funny thing called proof that Mayweather cheated the scales to demand such a high penalty...
I will try to find this linked where it said Mayweather wanted his name first in the title. As Mayweather-Pacquiao not Pacquiao-Mayweather and top rank agreed. Again if you do not believe I will try to find you the link. Top Rank wanted 8oz gloves Floyd agreed.
That was the only stipulations on Pac team. And, not Floyd wants to single out Pac and you think that is all fine and dandy? But, in reality I can tell by your avi that you already picked a side, and have your mind set up about this whole thing. So really going back and forth with you is useless because my opinion obviously do not matter to you. You already have you mind set up and don't feel there is 2 sides of the argument.Comment

So again until Pac is linked then you can come talk to me. The fact is it is not mandatory, he has no links as of right now, and he does not have to take a damn thing. You have your mind set up and singling him out fine. But, he is not on the wrong here and neither is Floyd for that matter...Comment

We have no proof so we can't say for sure.
Well how do you get proof?
Well he doesn't have to prove it because it hasn't been proven.
Ok, got it.Comment

you're right, he's willing to take blood and urine tests, provided...
1) HE KNOWS WHEN HE'LL BE BLOOD TESTED...
pac has agreed to random urine tests..... but we know many 'roids can't be traced in urine.Comment

It could be that Floyd is a little nervous or jealous of Pacquiao's success but now that so many have weighed in on the matter it seems at least plausible. If Pacquiao takes the tests to everyone's satisfaction and the results are negative then everything falls squarely on Mayweather's shoulders. His su****ion may be motivated by envy or incredulity but let's face it, Pacquiao's star is rising, and what he has done *IS* unprecedented.
Would I love for Pac to take test? Of course I would. Do I want him to take it? Yes I do.
But, I do understand where he is coming from. I can see the point of not taking it. If I was in his shoes I probably would not take it either. So I am not mad at him or accusing him of taking it. Because I understand.
I am more upset with the commission for not making this mandatory. For the good of boxing this should be mandatory. There is no reason for not having this type of testing.Comment

Fighters came out against of Pac and only 2 has after Sr did... If they did it before Sr I could see that argument but they didn't.

malinaggi nor contron have any ties to the mayweathers, so i doesn't matter when they came out and cosigned....
last week, cotto came out and said it's su****ious manny doesn't want to be tested......should we discount this also, b/c Sr. came out first? oh, i forgot, he's a former drug abuser, so nothing he says carries wieght....
bottom line, just like cotto came out, and said, as a clean fighter, he'd have no objections if it was him asked to be tested, you can bet many other ppl feel the same way, and as long as this drags out, and if the fight gets cancelled, more and more ppl will also voice their su****ions....
but since floyd sr. came out first, we shouldn't pay attention to what anybody else says?Comment

the steroid acc's didn't carry weight, until the man started dodging random tests....
