Atlas is someone who has boxed himself as well as trained fighters and knows the sport inside out. Merchant on the other hand is a self-absorbed relic of boxing's past. So as far as I'm concerned Merchant's opinion doesn't mean jack-shyt!
wow you sound like your hero, a complete ****ing ******.

He still doesn't fully understand the logic of Mayweather's position to demand random Olympic-style drug tests. That sole demand has destroyed the negotiations and caused Pacquiao to sue Mayweather, Golden Boy Promotions and others. [Click Here To Read More]
Larry Merchant doesn't like Floyd Mayweather. So I don't really take him seriously here. This is personal not an opionion and he actually makes Mayweather's comments about the HBO team look accurate.Larry Merchant is the same Larry Merchant that laughed when Floyd's Uncle Roger got knocked out by Rafeal Pineda. Unproffesional.

Biased view, but you can't deny that Pacquiao would be Mayweathers biggest challenge for years.

fighter who is patient. Floyd can beat Pacquiao, Roach knows
it and that's why he has to change Pac style up because it is tailor
made for Floyd and don't see why people keep saying Floyd is scared
          of Pac?
You say previously Roach has doubts and here Roach knows Pac can't beat Floyd and thats why he has to change Pacs style. I've never heard Roach say he was worried or that he thought Pac would lose.
Of course he has to change Pacs style. Floyd is skilled, granted... but he is also skilled in other ways that Pac has not had to deal with.
Floyd is also skilled in... using his elbows on the inside, holding in his last few fights (ODLH, Hatton) and especially skilled in pushing down on head (way down) then letting up before the ref can call break and hitting his opponent (check almost all his fights esp. against Gatti). Floyd frustrates his opponents and gets them to rush in - usually in desperation. These are the things Manny needs to avoid.
Changing a boxers style does not equal fear, it equals intelligence.

Floyds Uncle Roger... the one would couldn't train his nephew for the Baldomir fight because he was in jail for 6 months for knocking 2 teeth out of his kids grandmother, that Roger?

Because both fighter's should weigh in at the contracted weight, Floyd has already failed to do this once against a smaller fighter. Manny has nothing to gain by fighting Floyd at 154, by fighting Foreman at 154 he can win another title in another weight class to add to his legacy. Also as Floyd is a WW, shouldn't the fight be at 147? That way the fight would be for Manny's WW title. The only reason for Floyd to want to weigh in any heavier would be to hold a further advantage against his already smaller opponent.

Also if the current system for drug testing is so crappy why have people not brought up these arguements before? All these question marks seem to have arisen this past week. And surprisingly all by Floyd Mayweather fans.

Larry Merchant is basically a BoxingScene poster who managed to get a job announcing.

I only talk about boxing, alt. Don't respond to my post until you raise your IQ level. Roger accomplished more in boxing than you ever will in life.
