It's pretty damn funny and pathetic at the same time how Floyd fans in here discredit Larry Merchant just because his opinion make a whole lot of sense. He's been in the business for a very long time and one the most respected guy in the boxing circle. Floyd fans are so damn delusional that they can't handle their favorite boxer being criticized.

Being that Merchant has never really cared too much for Floyd.....I would expect that from him.

Merchant has a big mouth when he wants too. But remember when Shane Mosley was caught with balco and was proven to be a cheat even after passing the NSAC tests, Merchant DIDNT say a word. In fact, Jim Lampley didnt say nothing either. Bon Raissman of NY Daily News and other publications came out and called out HBO for having the cojones to open their mouth.

Merchant says pac is clean- he cant say 100% either way like the rest of us. I would agree that PBF is worried about losing. But at the same time, he has agreed to 8 ounce gloves, $10 million penalty for exceeding weight, and agreed to a 50-50 split. It comes down to compromise, if pac is willing to take one random test over a 30 day window and if PBF still wants numerous blood tests than he is a ducker since Pac is not going to cycle off several times and even 1 random test within 30 days is enough to deter him if he is cheating, and if pac refuses just ONE random blood test 20 days before the fight, than and it will be su****ious to abandon a $40 Million payday for one random test.

The problem is Merchant is biased.

He dislike Floyd a great deal while he adores Pacquiao.

Spot on!!! Best analysis I've seen today. Everyone else just hops on the band wagon for the current hottest fighter....til he loses.

Most intelligent people understand this. People who go by their emotions do not.

I mean how ws Floyd suppose to know this big fuss would happen? He didnt know Pac would decline.

Larry Merchant knows boxing. He's been around a very LONG time and when he speaks, people "listen." I would say the Larry is pretty much speaking the truth here. JAT
