I was going to say the same thing. Malignaggi was very open on many different occasions about this issue. Instead he wants to set up a fight with him. This just doesn't make sense. Hey Manny, NO SNITCHING!!
Just when I thought that this whole mess was just the biggest hoax to promote a fight just around the corner here comes the news that Manny Pacquiao actually filed a defamation lawsuit against the Mayweathers and GBP.
In the "hood" there is an unwritten law that we have all heard and it is called "No Snitching". First, let me tell you what "Snitching" isn't. It doesn't mean when Mr. So and So looks out the window and witnesses his elderly female neighbor getting mugged by some thug that he happens to recognize and he calls the police to tell them what he saw and who committed the robbery. That's not "Snitching." "Snitching" isn't when a lady finds out who's the murderer of her child then she lets investigators know about it. "Snitching" isn't when you see an obviously drunk driver drive down your block, side swipe your dad's car and takes off but you manage to get the car's tag number and you notify the police. I think you get the hint here.
Now let me tell you what "Snitching" really is. You see, in the "hood" there are certain people who are involved in some "shady" practices that are, may I say, against the law. Those practices are called the "game". Now, people who decide to be a part of the "game" understand that there are certain unwritten rules that you must abide by if you want to operate within the "game". If you are a part of the game then you have to play by these unwritten rules. Let me give you an example of what a real "Snitch" can be. Let say Joe and Terrance live in the same building. Both Joe and Terrance are known sellers of the sticky-cky on the opposite corners on the same block. Joe is getting a little upset at Terrance because Terrance is doing a little bit better than him. Joe notices Terrance's success and later decides wants to take Terrance out the business. So instead of Joe confronting Terrance and voicing his displeasure and physically taking him out Joe decides he wants to make an anonomous call to the local boys in blue. Joe tells the cops exactly where Terrance is located, where he keeps his stash and when to find him while he is conducting business. The cops take that info, rush in on Terrance, finds his stash and off to jail Terrance goes. Joe just "Snitched." I would give you more examples of "Snitching" but I think you get the point here. If you operate within the "game" you take care of business yourself with no outside help especially from the police. That's a no-no in the "game" because if other members of the "game" find out then you will be considered "weak" and you will no longer be "respected" causing things to "happen." And that's putting it extremely nice.
I bring this "Snitching" topic up because Manny Pacquiao has officially filed this defamation lawsuit. And in my opinion, Manny and Floyd are in the "game" of boxing and matters should have been taken care of in the ring, not a court room. Manny has decided that it is better for him to let the cops, I mean the courts decide what to do with people who he has an issue with. Millions of people believe that Manny is a warrior. A throw back similar to fighters from the past that left everything in the ring. A true old school gladiator that settled everything with his fist.
But Manny chose the "Snitch" route. Instead of doing whatever it took to make this fight happen so he can settle his differences in the ring he'll let a judge decide instead of his fists. That was a real good ***** move by Manny. A lot of people will say that it was a ***** move by Floyd Mayweather's people to accuse Manny of using performance enhancing drugs but I'm not part of Mayweather's crew. But I will say this, at least Mayweather opertated within the "game". Manny should have kept it in house and handled this situation like a man. Take the tests, prove to the Mayweathers that you don't take any drugs and let his fists take care of the rest. That's ashame Pac. I thought you were hardcore. But obviously you're not.Comment

Once you're labeled a child ******er, it sticks with you even if you get acquitted afterwards. Same goes for being a cheater. Pac's rep has clearly been damaged by the accusations and there's no going back even if he passes the random drug tests. Their succeeding argument would be "Nah, he stayed clean on purpose since he didn't want to get caught, that's why." Boxingscene alone could make Pac's case for damages since this is a boxing forum and is an accepted gauge on how a fighter is perceived in the boxing community. When May Sr. started with the accusations, slowly but surely, people (posters and even other pro boxers alike) started coming out of the woodwork and jumped on the bandwagon and made this issue as big as it is right now. This is not even debatable since at any given time right now, every single thread on the front or even 2nd page in NSB could be about Pac and his alleged drug use. People went from talking about his ATG status to being a lowlife cheater. These threads that I referred to clearly prove that his character has been defamed beyond repair. Manny's rep is toast.
I myself agree that Pac should have just taken the damn test but that still doesn't take away from the fact that from the moment Sr. opened his mouth until now, all this steroid label is hearsay and was at that time his vocal opinion only. If he thought about it, there's nothing wrong with it. Once he said it out loud, that's slander.Comment

It is easy to say for you to "take the test" and no big deal. BUT for Pacman, his name is more important than money. BECAUSE it is his name. Your name maynot be important to you but to Pacman, it is.
