What's that have to do with the drug testing that is required by boxing. The boxing commision already have a rule in regards for drug testing, why should Floyd or Manny change that. Does Manny and Floyd have the right to ask how much they should get paid, of course. That has a lot more to do with the example that you're giving. The $10 million penalty is completely different and has nothing to do in regards to boxing regulations for drug testing. THere are no rules on how much each fighter has to pay for penalty if they go over the weight that they agreed upon, just like there are no rules or regulations on how much each fighter can get paid. Apples and Oranges bro.

      Hey Pactarts explain this:

"WTF? Pacquiao's Lawyers Asked If Dirty Test Results Could Be Kept Secret!
Quote:This isn't some issue that just came about. It has been a part of the contract negotiations for weeks. According to a source familiar with the talks, Pacquiao's representatives asked what penalties Pacquiao would face if he tested dirty, and also if a dirty test result could be kept secret so that the integrity of the fight wouldn't be ruined in the public eye."

Looks like squeaky clean Pac is worried about himself being caught dirty. If he has nothing to hide and is clean why is his team so worried?I can`t wait to when the Pactarts reply,it`ll be like 2 christmas`es in 1 month.

        Testing in-competition defies USADA norms.
No, it doesn't defy their norms. If you went to their website you could read the procedures. In general, unretired athletes have to be available for one hour per day, 365 days per year. It used to be five days of the week, but now it is 7. The testing stops when you retire. That's all there is to it. It doesn't mean you'll be tested every day, but randomly there is a possibility that you could be tested on any day of any given year. They will test you at home, or at your training facility, or wherever you may be. From what I understand, they do not wake you up at 3am, but even if they did it once or twice, seems like a small price to pay for $40 million.

Again, I'll point out that they mostly test urine, but they do test blood for blood transfusions, synthetic hemoglobin, hGH and EPO. The quantity of blood, for both blood tests is, at worst case, about one third of one percent of the entire volume of blood in a human male (0.32%). The performance implications of having that blood drawn is ZERO.

This fight is supposed to happen in March. They don't have the luxury of a full year of testing. They have a little over eight weeks of possible test days. Seems like it isn't a big deal to go along with it, make the best fight in boxing and collect $40 million. Both fighters will be subjected to the same thing, so the playing field is level.

This is something every single US olympian has to deal with for their entire career. Pac is being asked to participate for a little over two months. The guy has a fragile sense of pride, if he's really crying about being accused of cheating. The easiest solution is to take the damn tests and tough it out for a couple months.

you're just trolling now. The NY Daily News is as reliable as the Sun tabloid in the UK.

Here's a ***** pulling one red herring after another. Let me know when you're done hating, son.

You do know that Tim Smith's article is baseless if you think logically. Tell me, why on earth would anyone propose to Golden Boy to stay quite if Pacquiao tests positive if he possibily wins against Floyd? That has to be the definition of gradeA BS that I'ver seen in my life.

Probably not, but they test olympic athletes, so any recent olympic boxer would have been tested this way. What difference does that make anyway?
