Agreed in the Urango fight he held way too much. The point deduction defintely led to the fight being much more entertaining...Lefty

That is the problem with Berto he don't know how to do that my man. he either has to hold or stay in there and ****. Soem guys are tall and don't know how to use their height to their advantage Berto has super fast hands but his foot wook is terrible. This is what makes him green. To this point he has not delt with a fighter that could really expose that partially due to his other attributes and the fact he has been able to hold in other fights. But I got a feeling in his fight against Shane he is going to have to get that greeness out of himself and learn fast on the job....Lefty

It was very close, but I had it to Berto by 1 point (I can't remember the exact score, it was a long time ago). I might rewatch it sometime though to re-score.

I forgot how much holding Berto was doing. He really should have lost points for it. He wasn't really working and it was really disrupting the fight.

Yeah, the guys holds and wrestles quite a bit. Ruins the tempo of a fight.

I had it 7rnds to 5 berto so he won by 1 point on my card. Berto had a bit of a chance to score either a kd or better in the 12th but was too exhausted. Great fight.

His holding early on was warranted he was clearly hurt in the first round when Collazo knocked him back to the ropes with a laser beam of a left hand. Friggin Bob Pappa kept on saying he was knocked down during the fight and was very annoying cause he was not knocked down. Niether Lennox Lewis or Kellerman corrected him which was more annoying. But it is what it is fellas.....Lefty

The fight was not a robbery.

I do recall though that Lederman was giving Collazo rounds that he should not have given him.
                you get nothing from me...

on topic: i had collazo taking it as well, but i'll admit there were several rounds that could have gone either way!

Yeah but Berto holds a lot even when he isn't hurt, not saying it's a bad thing to do from his perspective because it throws his opponent's rhythm off but it doesn't make for pleasant viewing and it gets excessive.

I think part of the problem with him is those guys were lefties. Urango in particular clashed heads with Berto early and after that he held on to Urango to avoid it from happening again for the rest of the fight. He will look better in general against rightys imo.
