I rewatched Berto/Collazo on HBO last night

and I still had it 8-4 for Collazo and still don't know what some of you are talking about on here being critical of that score when I have discussed it in the past The only rounds Berto clearly won were 2,5,8,&12, all others either Collazo won or could have been debated and I gave them to Collazo due to him being busier. So if you disagree with that then I just don't know what to tell you or how Berto could have gotten a draw even forget about winning.

I had it 6-6 but had Collazo the winner because of the point deduction.

I thought the point deduction was a little extreme.

It was a close fight but I thought Berto lost. Of course they're going to give him a close fight though... Why would they give it to Collazo when they can turn Berto into a star.. politics.....

I had Berto winning. I can't remember what I scored it back then.

The fight was not a robbery.

I do recall though that Lederman was giving Collazo rounds that he should not have given him.

Not at all. Close fights are usually only disagreements..

I had it 7-5 for Berto and thought the fight could have been scored either way. It was a great fight but to me Collazo needed that last round to get a W. Berto dug down deep in the 12th and pulled it out. By the way SPray I gave the 11th round to Berto as well. I wish Berto would have stuck steady with his body work I think that would have made the fight much easier for him. But he is young and you live and you learn my man....Lefty

It might have been but then again I could see why he did it, to take control of the fight from the get go. You could say that the point deduction made the fight much more entertaining, if Berto were allowed to hold like he was against Urango, the fight might have been much duller.

He could have made the fight much easier by using his speed to get in and then out but if he did that, the fight would have been kind of dull.
