Thats because he was an idiot when it came to fights and money at that time. He had promoter problems, then tried to manage his ownself. That has nothing to do with in the ring stuff though

I made this thread to get the man some accolade for what he did! Land more than a prime Jones. fare better than Tarver, Wright or Pavlik did. Beat the man Taylor *just* beat whereas Hopkins dismantled the man who beat Taylor more than 2 years later. Heck DLH or Tito would never have beaten Joe lets be frank the only case could be for Johnson and prime RJJ to beat Hjoe of Hop's resume.

I just don't understand the hate for Joe. I mean yes I can understand ppl having an opion on this fight with regards to who won and Joe's career in general but to bash what you see with your eyes?.....I dunno that stinks of more blind hatred/bias than anything else

If it makes people feel better I will gladly accept a prime 35 Hopkins dismantles him. That doesn't take away from the skills Calzaghe had.
