I disagree. They knew he would say no because of the stringency of the USADA testing. What people fail to realize is that this type of testing is more than just give blood and be done with it. It's complex and intrusive, they can come in the middle of the night, any time they want, 5 times a day if they so choose. Do you really believe if the roles were reversed and any other boxer FMJ fought previously had said "We'll fight FMJ if he does USADA testing" that he would have agreed? No way in hell! Anyone who says FMJ wouldnt have had a problem with it if he was asked first (for no ligit reason) to do this type of testingis lying to themselves. It's all about principle now. Battle of the wills. Mostly battle of the promoters, all though FMJ himself has always stated he is his own boss and that Manny's boss is Bob Arum.
IMO no matter what happens at this point, if I was MP I would give a hair strand to be analyzed by forensics and let it speak for his past (hair is the most accurate and shows months worth of toxins), do an immediate blood sample and then say "Mayweather you don't deserve the payday". IMO.

A fighter trains hard all his life to eventually get the credit for his accomplishments. I'm so glad that Manny Pacquiao has put his foot down against those crooks. Now that they have to deal with a court who don't take any nonsense they will have to think about their actions.
thing is though perception is reality !! this will be a dark cloud that will diminish mannys rep his legacy and his standing in the sport of boxing ! if he does not agree to it !!!

in years to come people will always say ohhh he was on drugs ohhh he used steriods ! ect ect

imo hes backed into a corner with only one way out !!!

Team Mayweather asked for the test before Manny said no, but that is alright as asking (even under dubious premises) may be considered part of the negotiations. However, saying no is within the other party's right. It is the insinuations ("he refused so he must be guilty") right after that leave a bad taste in the mouth. Schaeffer said that TM would only speak to the press if/when the contract is signed or the negotiations are off. TM released a press release and Schaeffer has given interviews since Manny said no and, yet, Schaeffer denies that the fight is dead to them (and insists that only Arum has said it is). If the negotiations were/are still indeed on (as they seem to be), releasing that damaging press release was clearly done in bad faith.

It does not escape me, though, that Arum seems to have violated the "gag order" in some instances, too.

          Oscar Dela Hoya--

“Now I have to wonder about him. I’m saying to myself, “Wow. Those Mosley punches, those Vargas punches and those Pacquiao punches all felt the same.” I’m not saying yes or no [about whether Pacquiao might be taking performance-enhancing drugs]; I’m just saying that now people have to wonder: “Why doesn’t he want to do this? Why is it such a big deal.”

          Oscar Dela Hoya--

“We can paint ourselves as the cleanest sport by doing this test. Why don’t you want to do it? C’mon. It’s only a little bit of blood. If you have nothing to hide, then do the test.”
I read the blog first hand I don't need you to tell me what he said, that is not really accusing. I have th same exact question fighting better drug testing is exactly what the baseball players did and it turns out a bunch were using PED I do not trust any athletes and when their whole team fights this har it raises certain questions.

He can take it whatever way he wants, and he can do whatever he wants but those questions are legitiamte and all Manny needed to do was say yes and this whole ordeal would not have happeaned.

not jr though he looks more like his mam thank god lol
All those tests takin your talking about were all urine, not blood. Your body doesnt process blood as quickly as urine, that's why it's more accurate.

If Manny said yes this whole thing would not be happeaning as it is now. He can do whatever he wants but people who fight drug testing in this day and age of athletics, it just does not look good.

Some members is blaming Manny for not taking the test. In my opinion, he has the right not to. Since I haven't seen the contract or negotiations in black and white, everyone here is just making there own conclusions based on what we read or see on the internet or news.

The question I ask is why all of a sudden PBF wants this kind of test done only on Manny?

Why his other opponents didn't have to go through this test.? So if by chance if Mosley fights Mayweather, do you think he will request this kind of testing?

Mayweather is also insulting the way, Nevada screens there fighters. Since this is such a big issue then they should change there system to how Mayweather and company wants, for EVERY fight made in Nevada from this day on.

Probably some of the other fighters wouldn't agree of random testing when they are in training and come unannounced to take blood, urine etc, not once but often. Training is hard and has to be continous and usually without distraction. Why do you think, family members, spouses, kids are apart from these fighters for 2-3 months when they are in training, because they will distract the fighters from there training....

I am a fan of Manny, but I can't say he is a steroid user without any proof what so ever.
