  • Its called contract negotiations for a reason the two sides are supposed to negotiate and compromise. I saw no negotiating on the golden boy side about the drug testing... i just saw demands

Before that, the steroid issue was limited to the ramblings of Floyd Mayweather Sr., and whispers from a couple of other fighters who've had absolutely nothing to do with Pacquiao's career to that point.

Sorry, but that was a well-placed bomb that they planted.
Props to you, Jake. As a journalist, can you please pursue the claim of Bob Arum that they actually hatched the smear campaign last September, when Oscar and Schaefer met Tygart os USADA? That's quite an investigative story

Sorry, but denial won't cut it. When RA Ruggedman asked Floyd on the radio about Manny having a better resume, he said "the Philippines has the best performace enhancing drugs, is that what we're talking about?" That was not an accusation? Quit acting like a tool, *****!

        • best damn article i've read on the issue.

hey golden boy, you used illegal substances so shut up !
and kudos to jake donovan for setting the record straight.

this is nothing but harrassment from a fighter afraid to get in the ring with Manny.

          • This journalist is talking about sparing him the semantics. I'd ask him to do the same - he is just dredging up past history in this article in order to excuse the fact that Pac will not take a test. He is just skirting around the issue due to his prejudice and the fact that he does not want goldenboy or mayweather to gain the upperhand morally. In my eyes they already have. Pac is as good as a cheat in my eyes.

            • I applaud this article, but I can admit that I'm probably too biased now to tell whether or not it is balanced and objective.
